"You get what you paid for, an average 1-star hotel"
Fairly clean, smoke free, large room (compare to some of the NYC hotels), but it is still a motel with a lot of truckers and cheap tour groups. Some of the truck runs their engines all night, which can be annoying. The AC was very cold (which is good) but very loud. The noise of the AC basically drowns out the road noise. The stay was okay for the money […] that I paid. Just remember that even it is close to NYC, but going through the tunnels during the rush hours could take more than an hour to get to Manhattan (plus $13 for the toll fee). "Not the worst"
The people at the front desk were very rude at check-in, I stayed 3 nights and went into NYC each day by the NJ transit which was very simple, ten minutes, and only $4 per ride. The house keepers only came in and straightened the sheets, didn't actually make the bed, folded the used towels and out them back on the rack--same with the washcloths at sink […] and bath mat. "Poor Hotel GREAT Location"

Overall, the Inn is not bad. Summary:The rooms are remodeled and look good; except for the showers and the overall noise. The good: flat screen TV, comfy bed and pillows with clean sheets, new carpet and floor in the bathroom area, Dunkin Dohnuts across the street, and the price is right ($240 for 3 nights) The bad: the tub looks old and grungy, and […] the tub floor had this patch placed over most of it to make it look new, but it looks and feels terrible. The place is noisy - I could clearly hear everyone's conversation as they walked by, and sirens from the street felt like they were in my room, and there were a few sirens the first night. Stayed overnight and it's was just ok nothing fancy. Room was nice in decor but lacked in the roominess department. Bathroom was small and the tub had some calking issues. We were going to a concert at the Meadowlands so the location and the price were right. The neighborhood was questionable and our room walked out to the first floor parking lot. When we first entered the lobby there were three women working behind the desk. We actually had to say "hello" to get someone to make eye contact or acknowledge us. A good deal close to New York City. We had a car so wanted somewhere with parking not far from midtown. Room had updated decor but was manhattan sized. Expected something a little bigger in nj. "It is a MOTEL - we had a scary night"
I did not know it was a motel until i arrived. If i knew i wouldnt have reserved in it. The doors open to the outside like an appartment (motel). We did not mind at first but we regreted it after what happened at 2 AM : we were asleep me and my wife and were awaken by knocking on the door and sombody pushing on the door lever handle trying to open it. […] I looked from the window and saw a young girl standing in the cold wearing only light clothes, she looked erratic (drunk im sure) and then she started knocking on the door of the room in front, some guy opened snd she entered without even looking at him. I thought he was a pyscho , we thought they were gonna come back etc etc My wife was so scared i had to call the front desk and he told me he was gonna send security to check. Nobody went in there room and i guess he called them because the light in there room suddenly turned on. The guy then got out and went to get a bottle of water. We survived that night. Conclusion : For a 100 $ a night i cant recommand this MOTEL because you can get a proper hotel for that amount a bit further. IT IS PROBABLY JUST AS CHEAP TO STAY ON MANHATTAN. THIS HOTELS IS OK, BUT AVERAGE. THE HOTELS ON MANHATTAN ARE MAYBE $50 MORE, BUT TO STAY HERE, YOU NEED TO PAY ABOUT $20 IN PARKING AND A TRAIN RIDE ROUND TRIP OF $8 PER PERSON.
