I booked this hotel just to get away for the night and spend the day walking around main st and getting lunch. We had never stayed here before but wanted... to try something new and be close to the beach. I was pleasantly suprised at how nice and how close to everything it was. No cab fees! :) Mike was the one who checked us in and he was wonderful. Very freindly and out going. Offered to give us a suite at a small extra charge and told us about all the amenities they offered. The rooms were very nice, we loved the extra big tub and duel shower heads. Over all this is a great hotel and worth the extra money :) by Kirri from Riverside on 05/08/13

This hotel is right where you want to be in Huntington Beach. So close to the pier and Main Street. The rooms are large, clean and modern. I wanted to stay in the shower all day! I will only be staying at the Shorebreaker when I am in Huntington.

Having written a terrible review about a recent hotel stay in another location, I feel it is only fair to write a positive review when justified. This hotel was fantastic. The beds were super comfy, the bathroom was big and really functional, and the location was PERFECT. We were right in the heart of everything, within a two minute walking distance […] of all the shops and restaurants on Main Street and of course the beach was right there. They also provide valet parking in a big, safe, and clean garage below. I've heard people complain about the parking price but $24 dollars was completely worth my peace of mind and sense of security. They even have little patios in each of the rooms which would make the ocean view upgrade completely worth it. We didn't do that this time but next time we'll make sure to check into that.
