The staff was very helpful and friendly. Love the beds. The rooms are a little old but they are spacious and the beds are super comfortable with lovely clean/new white bedding and no bedspreads. Got a better rate than Red Lion could offer me from Hotels.comGenuine Hotels.com guest review

we were in Yakima, Wa for a funeral, convenient location very satisfied with room, it was nice and clean, allthough smaller than most rooms we have seen. Kids enjoyed be right on the pool, sadly it was not heated so was a bit chilly for me. Spent one night and slept well. Staff was friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Stayed three days for a business conference. The room was very clean and nice with a comfortable bed and nice amenities. Hotel was very easy to find with plenty of parking and easy access to rooms with many entrances. Security doors required key cards to enter even during the day. I come to Yakima many times a year to fish the nearby rivers but this […] was my first stay at Red Lion. I will now change that. I do wish that. the lounge could have been open on Sunday though. To watch your favorite team play you have to go looking for a bat or tavern that is open. That being a very minor issue, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. "Look out Aunt Irene@!! Here we Come."
We had not expected to need a hotel when we arrived to visit our Aunt. She was ill and we wanted to stay to see if she needed help, but not have her feel obligated to "entertain" us. This was a wonderful opportunity for us to relax, to go downtown for dinner and to shop. The front desk made several excellent recommendations for dinner and breakfast, […] as well as providing shaving supplies that we had forgotten. My ONLY objection was that the cleaning staff did not come to the room, even when requested. Following the second night--after a specific request, they entered the room--emptied the garbage--but left without vacumning, changing towels--whatever--AND the door was left unlocked--ajar. "Red Lion Yakima - Good option for Gorge concerts"
While Yakima itself is no great shakes, the hotel was nice and centrally located, as well as close to the freeway. What really impressed me was one guy in particular, a maintenance man, who saw me trying to get ice from a broken ice machine, and went to the kitchen w/out asking and brought me two bags of it!
