Restaurant features an open kitchen, a long communal table, intimate lounge seating, and traditional dining room seating. Menu varies with the seasons and includes fresh, locally produced ingredients. Sample dishes include innovative variations of cheese and chocolate fondue, Asian hot pot, and hot stone cooking. Loved the Westin Workout - rent New Balance workout gear and shoes for $5 - GREAT idea. Very beautiful hotel, room was perfect. Great service every time I picked up the phone. "Nice except for the door knocks"

"Not worth the price."
My room included (a) a stained chair, (b) a stained bathrobe, (c) a previous customer's sports bra, and (d) no free internet. I did get free internet in the lobby's business center that was slow and, at times, non operational. Everything was up to great Westin standards EXCEPT THE PILLOWS ; they STUNK !!!!!!! They were 12 inches wide by 27 inches long and even using 3 of them provided ZERO support for the head . I'm not real picky about stuff -- just get me a clean room , warm shower & foam pillows and I take the road & hotels for what they are . "Somewhat Disappointed"
For a high end hotel, I was disappointed at the amenities that lower end hotels offer that Westin charged extra for. For example, I thought free wireless was pretty standard these days, but they charged $12 to have wireless in the room. I had to go to the hotel lobby to use their free wireless service. And we were greeted in our room with a bottle of […] water, and a sign saying we would be charged $4 to drink it. Such a nice hotel. . . yet they couldn't provide a complimentary bottle of water? We had a great stay at the Westin. They are located right in the middle of the downtown area of Minneapolis and you can take the light rail from the airport and be 2 blocks from the hotel. We didn't even need to rent a car. The hotel rooms are very clean and big. The pool was awesome and the fitness center had everything you need. I stayed at the Westin Minneapolis while attending a conference at the Convention Center. The hotel itself was well maintained. Staff was courteous and helpful. Location was good - steps away from Nicolette Mall which was full of shopping, restaurants and lots fo good people watching. The Hotel is nice and convenient. Located very near to all amenities, food places, and maybe a little bit of shopping. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel is that you needed to pay for internet in the room. Major complaint is very noisy room. I am not noise sensitive, but there was a 1 inch space below the door that was open to the hallway, and I was woken up each morning by housekeeping, people talking in the hallway, and very loud sound whenever a room door would close. Minor complaints include being charged for a breakfast I did not eat or order in […] the restaurant (with staff questioning the truth of my statement), and being ignored for another 30 minutes in the restaurant, and then being informed that the section was closed only after I got up and asked why I was not being served.
