Location.
Located in the center of Minneapolis, Minn., the Marriott City Center is linked to 62 blocks of shopping, dining, and nightlife through the famous Skyway System. You charge all that money for that small room that was facing a builing and nothing else and then you charge $3.50 for a bottle of water that should have just come with the room. "Smallest room I've ever seen"
The Marriott downtown Minneapolis is overall a great hotel, just beware of being put in a corner room. My wife and I were put in the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. All the normal room accomodations were there, but the space of the room was tiny. "Going to a Twins Game? Stay Here!"
This hotel was so convenient. Close to everything we wanted to do and see. We were able to park in their ramp at a disounted rate and leave the car. We walked everywhere. "Memorial Weekend Getaway"
My husband and I decided to get away for the holiday weekend and go to a few Twins games. The hotel was decently priced for a holiday weekend and was in a great location, just a few blocks from the ballpark. It was within walking distance of the light rail (which was convenient to get to the airport) and many restaurants. A couple blocks away was a […] little shady, but we just stayed away from there. On Sunday night when the hotel was pretty much empty, we decided to go the the restaurant for dinner. We waited at the hostess stand for 5 minutes and nobody came even though the sign said it was open. We asked an employee for help and he said to just sit down by the bar at a table and we would be helped shortly. We sat down for about 10 minutes and were never waited on. I don't know if the bartender was waiter too but he never even looked out way even though there was only 5 people at the bar. Overall, the hotel was good-clean room. Wife and I stayed here for an overnight. Great proximity to Target Center/Target Field and many theatres. Close to many nice restaurants as well. I have stayed at a vast number of hotels in Minneapolis and its burbs and this is one of my favorites, especailly for the price. By far exceed Choice Suites and Embassy Suites. Staff is very courteous and helpful. The concierge was very knowledgable, making a great dinner suggestion and getting us a exclusive reservation. Room is great. Nive linens […] and roon decor. Nice combination between modern and classic. Onoly complaint is that breakfast is way over priced, but I was glad I bought the pacckage hotel.com offered for breakfast included... only cost me $10 more and I got the $40 breakfast buffet for free.
