I thought it was perfect. In fact, I had left a ring in the room and called later to find that they had turned it in and I was able to pick it up at the front desk a few hours later. I had stayed in a different hotel chain just a few weeks earlier and my electric toothbrush had DEFINITELY been left in the room. I don't really see how something like a toothbrush leaves a room if it doesn't go with the person who brought it, but it made me appreciate the honesty and professionalism of the group at the Doubletree. Excellent. Central. Not such lovely surroundings although convenient to shops and restaurants. But inside the hotel you are completely insulated and cd b anywhere. Great views of city.

The staff at this hotel are excellent. We arrived about an hour before check-in and our room wasn't ready. Even though we were early, the front desk clerk gave us two free drink tickets for the hotel bar and a $10 coupon for the gift shop. She also stored our luggage. She was extremely friendly and definitely made us feel welcome. The one complaint […] with our stay is that our room was pool side and incredibly hot. We had turned the heat off and opened the door and still couldn't cool it down. Around 1:00 a.m., the night maintenance guy went in search and found us two fans for our room. The pool area was nice and the beds were very comfortable. The elevators in the hotel were horribly slow and did not work all the time. I was sad there was not complementary coffee in the lobby, you needed to buy a cup at the desk to get cheap coffee.

This was our second stay with the Double Tree and once again we were very pleased and satisfied. During the first morning of our stay, I was using the sink to brush my teeth when all of a sudden the sink filled up and water started running all over the floor. I stopped and let it drain and then quickly finished up. On our way out that morning I stopped […] by the front desk and told them of the problem and right away they got in touch with maintenance and when we returned later, the sink was fixed. Super job!!!! The only down-side is that there is no WiFi in the room unless you can hook up with an ethernet cord. The iPad doesn't allow that and so I had no access in my room. This would be very nice if it could be added. They do have PC access in the lobby, but I wanted to use it for a short period of time before going to bed. We'll be back. Read more

It was close to our son and granchildren. Our teenage sons loved the pool. Overall it was satisfactory except that unlike less expensive hotels coffee had to be paid for and we COULD NOT get internet for our IPAD in the room. Otherwise would recommend.

The chek in person said that there were a lot of parties this weekend and asked if we would like to be moved to the 15th floor which required a pass key and woudl be quiet. The location of this hotel is WONDERFUL - just minutes from downtown, and within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and a movie theater. The evening staff was also very helpful and professional and friendly - checking in was a breeze, and they even helped me to locate gluten free dining options within walking distance. When I arrived at my room, I found a hair on the toilet seat, and that they hadn't put on the hypoallergenic bedding that I requested. I asked them to send someone up, and they were very fast - but all she did was swap the pillows by putting the feather ones in the closet, and then strip the feather comforter and literally leave me with nothing more than a sheet and a thin blanket. I think it would have been much better had she actually provided me with a hypoallergenic comforter. I also found some hairs within my sheets which was gross. Their housekeeping needs improvement. Finally, I was given a room that had a door adjoining it to another room - which didn't feel very secure to me - and the people next door had a loud yapping dog that barked at all hours of the day and night. It would be better to keep those of us traveling without pets in a separate space from those traveling with pets. When I checked out, the morning staff practically ignored me. They were not friendly. The hotel was quite nice and the location was great, but it happened to be wedding season and the hotel was full of weddings and crazy loud partiers. We were lucky enough to be located next to a bachelor party who decided to set up camp in the hallway at 3 in the morning and have yelling contests. There is no way the motel could know that the people were there for a bachelor party. We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was very convenient, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the room very acceptable. Our only suggestion is the need to update technology: better choice of TV (no Twins or Golf Channel) and WiFi in the rooms.

The cookies offered at check-in were delicious. The only problem we had related to housekeeping. They always came when we were still in the room and never came while we were out. You'd think they could make up the room sometime between the hours of 11:30am and 4pm.

Our room was quite large and the bedding was very nice, which is important to us. There was a nice big flat screen and the hotel was very quiet, considering how large it is. However, there were a few things missing that surprised us. There was no mini-fridge and no wi-fi.
