We had a noisy toilet and that truly is my only complaint. We had to continue shaking the handle or close the bathroom door. We could have told the front office but didn't. Loved the stay even though it was for medical reasons. Safety of the area and convenience are my primary reasons for returning so many times. The hotel was fine, but in a two queen bed room obviously meant for 2 people, there was only one chair to pull up to the dining/working table. The entire room had two mirrors both of which were in the bathroom .The one over the sink was too far away to be able to properly apply make-up and the other was on the inside of the bathroom door.That one could […] at least be moved to the outside of the door making it useful and not nessessitating that both people be in the bathroom at the same time The main bed/sitting area had no mirror at all. Apparently Texas has a law aboout bringing in outside food and drink to an eating area served by any food service. We were not allowed to bring salads from the hospital cafeteria so that we could eat together. We couldn't eat together easily in the room because we didn't have 2 chairs. They could have some sort of seating area set aside for hotel guests who don't want to purchase snack bar food, but who want to eat as a family. This hotel caters to Texas Medical Center patients, a lot of whom have multiple family members with them. I made these suggestions as I checked out so I hope they've been forwarded to the management. It was A Great Stay but the downside was little to no channels Avalible we practically had to guess what we were watching . I was in town for my father's surgery and wanted to stay in a hotel close to Methodist Hospital. The 5 closest hotels had consistent reviews of uncleanliness, odors or loud noise so I decided to stay 5 miles away. It was the best choice I made. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff was very friendly. I asked Rita for a quiet room because I […] knew I needed to go to bed early and get up early and she did a wonderful job. I never heard a noise. Housekeeping took care of everything. I took the 6 a.m. shuttle to the hospital and they got me there quickly. When I called to be picked up they arrived within 10 minutes. Our stay at Courtyard Marriott was great. The food, the service and the rooms were fantastic. We had a very hectic morning and due to plane changing schedules we arrived into Houston much earlier than anticipated, 8:30AM to be exact. Check-in time is 3:00PM and lucky for us they managed to get a room ready by 11:00AM because my husband and I both had […] interviews at noon at the Texas Children's Hospital. Room incredibly clean and comfy, but I did miss not having a single local sports channel -- something I enjoy after a long day of business. Also, I took this hotel because it offered a shuttle to places within 2 miles, but my location was 2.1 miles and so while I was first told that was no problem, the next morning I was told it was too far. As I travel to Houston on business a few times a year, I would love to stay there again, but until they get a sports channel and come down in regular price, I won't. I was pleasantly surprised with the Courtyard by Marriott Houston Medical Center in terms of service, amenities, location and overall look and feel. The staff was courteous and professional, the amenities were convenient (especially the cafe in the lobby), the hotel was centrally located, and it was warm and inviting with modern decor and comforts […] of home. In terms of our room, we had minor issues with light fixtures. Apparently, master switches at the door control the other lights in the room (including the bathroom). This is not a big deal once you figure it out, but stumbling into the bathroom in the middle of the night with no concept of how to turn on the light can be irritating. Otherwise, our room was comfortable in terms of temperature, bedding and space. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will not only stay there again, but recommend it to friends! Excellent service. There was a grocery store w/ in walking distance which was nice for snacks and amenities. Hotel was new, clean, quiet, very nicely furnished and staff was pleasant and efficient. Hotel restaurant open, inviting and delicious.

This is a great place, very modern furniture and design, very new and very comfortable. Only 2 minor complaints- they were short staffed while I was there, so there were long wait times and I had to febreeze my room b/c it had a strange oder. But once I took care of that, it was an excellent 2 night stay!
