"Springhill Suites in Houston-close to airport"
This hotel has an airport shuttle, providing convenience when staying overnight to catch a flight the following morning. All of the staff is friendly and the shuttle drivers aren't too demanding of tips. (At other hotels, I have come across drivers that hinted toward tips excessively, even going as far as to quote how much a taxi would cost.) The hotel […] was renovated and very nice. The rooms are very spacious. I did not try the food in the lounge but was slightly disappointed that a full restaurant was not present. I was also disappointed that the hotel does not run a shuttle to other locations like Wal-mart or nearby restaurants. Many hotels in Houston do provide this service for their guests. As Houston is a driving culture, there is nothing within walking distance and sidewalks are unkempt. Overall, the stay was pleasant. I wouldn't mind staying here again if I were to rent a car. "Good for layovers"

Nice hotel and conveniently located next to the airport. But, spent one restless night being chased around my room by giant flying crickets. I understand they are a local nuisance, but I still don't expect them to fill my hotel room.
