"Must be 21 to book a room!!!???"
I didn't like that the hotel never mentioned that you must be 21 to book a room. I have never heard of this rule. "Better off Camping"
Looks are deceiving and this place, from the highway, appears to be just another hotel / motel but sadly, it is far less. Granted, it is a great value, but you get less than what you pay for and here is a case where ratings do not tell the whole story. The place is in dire need of a makeover. The exterior is weather beaten, the paint is peeling, the […] parking lot potholed and access to it can pass in the blink of an eye. The swimming pool needs replastering probably etched away due to improper care and chemical imbalance. Insofar as the interior is concerned, here is a general list: The rooms resemble the exterior, essentially haggared. The only wireless connectivity was in the lobby/dining area which had a computer, no printer so if you wanted to web check in for a flight, the motel could not, or would not do it for you. Some of the desk staff, the women, were courteous. The nasty old man on the night desk has issues. The TV's were the old CRT type with deadful picture and sound. The closets had no hangers. The bath rooms were filthy and no wash rag to compliment the paper thin towels. The bed cover had holes and the sheets, while appearing clean, were also tattered. The carpets were stained and the thru-wall units far too noisy. I say, look around.. it is a great deal but the low cost is overshadowed by the poor condition. "Hotel Venetian Inn and Suites in Houston"
Hotel was in a great location right off the interstate. They have grocery stores nearby, gas stations, convenience stores, restaurants, and a mall for shopping. The citizens in the area are friendly and helpful. The area is clean and the roads are spacious and clean. There are an abundance of hotels in the area so don't be quick to settle for just any […] old one in the area. While the Houston area was very nice and the surrounding area was a plus to say the least, in my opinion this particular hotel was not right for us. The pool had a ton of cleaning agents in it to the point that no one was able to swim. The a/c units are very loud and because they don't run the condensation water drain lines away from the building the a/c unit drips puddles of water all over the walking path creating a slipping hazard. The tv remote in our room didn't work. The internet was very slow. The room we were in we had to leave out at 1:55 am due to a small mouse visiting our in room trash can. On a lighter note the customer service representatives are extremely helpful and very friendly. They were very quick to relocate us to another room and check out was prompt and hassle free.
