Extended Stay America Houston - Galleria - Westheimer

It was a quiet place but very dated. Location is good. The dishes were dirty, the rooms were very dated, windows were broken (wouldnt stay open), the breakfast was a joke for what we paid. Coffee and cereal bars and instant oatmeal is not a breakfast. I wouldnt stay there again unless there were no more options.

This was our first time at a extended stay and we were mainly looking for a clean room with a clean shower and that is it. Sleeping & Showering was all we needed. We were visiting family and would be with them 90% of the time. So when we checked in and there were chips under the desk and a crack in the shower floor. We were not impressed. The hotel was reasonably well kept for the price and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working, the bed was uncomfortable, and their was quiet a bit of street noise, especially for the third floor of a building.

I guess this hotel wasn't bad, but it was a little old (the toliet, sink &doors had chipped paint/old stains) and the furniture and applicances were very basic. My room had 2 beds, one was firm and comfy and the sheets were clean but were stained. The other bed had broken springs. There was a broken electrical outlet by the bed i slept in, so i couldn't […] use the lamp or alarm clock. I have to say that I was able to take a nice, hot shower and there was sufficent pressure, so that made my evening worthwhiile. However, since i checked into room after 11 pm (after driving for 3.5 hours), there was no one at the front desk and thus, no one to check me in. I had to use the bathroom badly and the lobby bathroom was out of order. I had to look around for about 15 mintues before finding someone to help me. I located the housekeeper who was nice and gave me my key. BUT! the key did not work! The housekeeper was able to provide me with 3 more keys, but none of them worked! she finally let me into my room with her employee key, and i had to wait until the next evening to get a working key. That was REALLY frustating, especially since i had to go looking for the housekeeper each time my key wouldn't work. :( So i might stay here again, but only for a lower rate. Its obvious that this hotel was understaffed and that's unfortunate because it really affected the score i have given. the employees that i did deal with were nice enough, but sometime was lacking from my overall experience. For the very first time in all my years of hotel stay I was very unsatisified with my stay. I understand it was a very busy time in the city, I was sent to 2 rooms that were not ready. On 2/26 morning no cream in the lobby for Coffee. Front desk was of no help in finding some cream. Finally i got some cream from the maid (housekeeping Room). Maid was very helpful.

Let's see, I parked my car 2 spaces from the front entrance and it was KEYED ALL AROUND AND ZIG-ZAG. The hotel has video cameras monitoring the parking lot and yet they claim no one was near my car. I guess a ghost keyed my car! Total damage estimate is $2,375.00. I recommend you pay a little more and stay at a better hotel!

Well its a harsh thing to accept, when you get to your room and start to unpack and unwind, its not a good thing to sit down and find that you Hace NO TOILET Paper, and have to go to service desk to get it :( is there anyone checking on the house keeping staff for job completion? this should never happen

The bed was very firm, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. The Internet is not included in the price of the room, which is a shame. That said, it's very conveniently located, near the Galleria shopping area and the French Consulate. There are plenty of quality restaurants in the area as well.
