"Pimp in pink"
Very dissapointed. Have stayed at Hampton Inns before in other locations and was very comfortable. There was a sketcy, shady atmosphere at the Hampton Inn location. Saw women who looked like hookers in the lobby on Saturday evening. The next morning there was a man dressesd in a pink suit who was a far cry from Robert Redford or Leo in the Great Gatsby. […] This man was no doubt a pimp and he was mooching off the breakfast. Also the hotel was supposed be non-smoking, but we smelled cigarette smoke all night! Will not be returning here. Not happy that I paid 100 for a room that the air conditioner didn't work. Room didn't cook off till 5 am... Miserable! Very unhappy... Told front desk and they didn't do anything Bout itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I have never had a miserable stay at a hotel. I have asked for a complete refund. We were supposed to stay 2 nights. The first night when we got to the room there was a musty smell. Before going to bed we thought the carpet in front of the air conditioner was damp but went to bed anyway. At 12:30 AM we were awakened by the fire alarm. It went off probably […] a minute after sounding. We called the front desk and were told it was someone smoking in their room. We found the carpet wet by that time so went to the lobby and were given a different room. After moving our belongings and getting back to sleep, we were awakened again at 5:30am by another fire alarm. It continually sounded this time so we immediately went to the lobby. We were told there was a problem with the alarm - no smoke was detected. We asked that our next night room be cancelled without penalty even though it was past the cancellation time. We were told it was taken care of but would need to speak to the manager when she came on duty. We found another hotel closet to Reliant Stadium and stayed there the following night. It was a better price - wish we had booked there in the first place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Blood on wet towel."
Bath towel was wet and had blood on it. They did not change all towels from previous occupant. A/C stopped working during the night but came back in the morning. I have stayed here previously but they were waaaayyyyy off their game this stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Terrible stay at this Hampton Inn"
Our stay started out just fine, the room was comfortable enough and a good size. When we started getting hot we realized our AC was only pumping out heat and when I called the front desk to get it fixed, they lady said it could be fixed in the morning after I explained we were only staying in the room for one night we were given a different room. In […] our second room we quickly noticed there was no remote but we did not make a big deal out of it (still annoying though). There was also no clock in the room which became frustrating when we tried to set a morning alarm. In the second room our door didn't lock either. At 1:22 in the morning a group of girls tried coming into our room with a room key they were given at check in, turns out the front desk girl never switched my name over to the new room. Needless to say it was a very annoying stay and we will never go back to this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel in this area, there are many others in the area with better deals and probably more compitant employees. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room was NASTY"
I'm a patient at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and chose this hotel due to proximity to the center. Hotel was ... NASTY. I was ill when we were there so we didn't want to go through a bunch of complaining and room changing and it seemed that it was the entire hotel that was nasty anyway instead of just a one-room-type of incident and so we toughed it […] out and just made the decision that next week when we have to go back for 5 days we will NOT be staying here nor next month when we have another 5 day treatment stay.
