"Terrible quality of room"
I hate to say it, but Hotels.com should remove this hotel from their offerings as I think it does more damage than good for people to stay here. My first experience was the toilet overflowing when I blew my nose and threw one tissue in there. Then, when taking a shower, a pool of water formed all over the bathroom floor. Housekeeping did not replenish […] towels (or the coffee which was annoying). I called front desk to ask if they would deliver a coffee for me to brew, I waited 30 minutes and nothing, called them back and they said I had to call housekeeping myself... Why they couldn't do it for me is a mystery. The hotel restaurant/bar staff was awful. Never behind the bar, waited 15 minutes to be served EVERY time, food was mediocre quality at best. beds seemed smaller than normal in a double room. The elevators were ele are ancient & small so getting luggage for our family's week long stay was near impossible. "Could be better experience"
Good location. Hotel has two buildings - one is upscaled, the other is older and in poor condition. Unfortunately I arrived at very busy time when hotel was fully occupied. "Not what I expect from Crown Plaza"
The walls were paper thin. I can could hear coughing as well as conversations. The tub had dark spots as if the person before me had dirty feet and didn't clean it. Clean hotel and room with good service, however when the air conditioner came on it makes a load vibration noise waking me up in the middle of the night. The other issue came while taking a shower. This is a very nice hotel, the floorplans are excellent, however the maintenance is in need. it doesn't seem like the hotel has been renovated in years. "I can carry my own crib up to my room..."
This was the worst hotel ever. Service was terrible. I get to check in and inform the hotel employee I need a crib for my child(only reason I chose it) she tells me that the maids quarters are locked up. I said I still need a crib, she tells me there is no one to take it up for me and that I am welcome to carry it up myself.. Maintenance and condition of the hotel are poor. I had a client meet me there for breakfast and frankly was embarrased. Great location within Houston but you definitely don't want to be outside the hotel after dark. Pleasantly happy my car was still there in the morning. Breakfast buffet food was cold at 9am! I stayed for 4 nights due to work. There was a very bad odor in my room. The bathroom didn't get restocked with toilet paper and the parking was horrible. The service was fair. The room was great although the air conditioning control did not work and it was a consistent 60 degrees in the room. Didn't bother to tell the hotel as I saw lack of proper maintenance in other areas. Two of the cable weight training machines in the fitness room were missing the needed cables. The locker room was very dimly lit, like in a horror movie, […] and really smelled. I didn't go in. The hot tub spa near the pool was not working. We checked in at 6pm Sat, went to dinner, returning at 11pm. They had us in bldg 6. We three unloaded the car, and entered a totally deserted looking bldg. Fortunately, another guest was coming down the exit stars into the 'main lobby?"...he told us the elevators were out and that we would have to walk to the third floor. We went back to the car with […] our stuff and drove up the block to the real lobby where a lady was manning the desk. I told her our plight and asked for another room, also relating the story of having the 'automatic door' close on me, injuring my nose and bending my glasses so that another had to drive us to dinner. She was not moved by our plights nor apologized for these inconveniences but did give us another room which was fine.
