Very nice hotel in the process of being remodeled. Nice outside pool and hot tub. Located on the access road of I-10 the brochures list a number of restaurants nearby. Asking the staff how to get to them led to misdirections. The next day I found maps at the front counter showing exactly how to get to many. The clerk was apparently unaware that the […] maps existed. "Overall a good experience"
Everything was pretty good. The breakfast was not much to write home about but most hotels don't really have a good breakfast. For being Houston, the air conditioner worked really good, the shower was good, and the bed was good enough to get to sleep. The only complaint that I have which is true in most hotels, is they don't think about putting outlets […] in the room for convenience. When travel with a laptop, phone, rechargeable test equipment, you need outlets. Even if i just had a cell phone to charge, there were no outlets close to the night stand that could be used to plug in the phone. "Nice Stay."
Location was just fine. But I do not like the curtains that do not cover the entire window space. Also, the toilet bowl was not cleaned so I was a little disappointed with that. Everything was good about this hotel except for the pillows. All of the pillows on the bed were stuffed with feathers or goose down, and no matter how much you try to fluff up a down pillow, once you lay your head on it, it becomes as hard as a rock in less than a minute.
