"Beautiful hotel, just hard to get there"
Once I stumbled upon the secret combination of turns that allowed me to find the entrance, checking in was a breeze. My only complaint is on their parking garage. Had I known I was going to have to make a ton of tight, consecutive turns, I would have paid the extra few bucks to have someone park it for me. (I got dizzy and nauseous!) The hotel in general […] and my room were quite high end and beautiful. I took a bath in the evening and found there to be plenty of hot water. The tub was a standard size but was quite clean. The bed was cozy, however I felt the pillows were either way too soft or way too firm. (Goldilocks much?). The room was quiet. I slept well, being in a big, cozy bed - in a quiet room - in a hotel that I felt was safe. The surrounding neighborhood is composed of mainly office buildings and trees. "Not a 4 star"
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza and the Sheraton both nearby the Renaissance. Both of them a lot cheaper.I thought this time we`d like a better hotel and booked the Renaissance. However, the hotel is ok, but not better than the two cheaper ones at all. Old rooms. The blanket had "red" spots. I don`t like red spots on my bed in a hotel.......so we ordered […] a new blanket which promptly came. But it shouldn`t even happen in a 4 star hotel. Ok hotel but not worth the price. "good hotel for Houston Art museum and Rice Uni"
Very good hotel, close to Rice university and the Museums of Fine Arts. Great gym and large swimming pool. Good fare served until midnight at the downstairs lounge. Beliggenhed og service er i top på dette hotel. Der forefindes de fleste faciliteter dog skal man som mange andre steder ikke forvente morgenmad og internet inkluderet i prisen.
