"Should have paid more & gone to another hotel"
1. The hotel is undergoing construction so it does not make it for a very inviting atmosphere when you walk-in. 2. The person at the front desk was having a problem with the computer system when we checked in, and paid no attention to me nor at my questions - he has rude. 3. The carpet in my room has dirty with dark brown spots when we walked in. We […] later found out this hotel allows pets, so this may be part of the reason why. 4. Overall, the proice was right, but we got what we paid for. I would not stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"too bad you can't pick your room!"
only problem was room directly next to elevator -- a bit noisy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Needs work"
AC did not keep room comfortable. Poor workmanship trying to repair sheetrock damage around AC vents. Hot water valve in bathroom loose on countertop. Breakfast food not restocked or fresh; buffet out of bacon, out of french toast, grits dried out, outmeal dried out. Very dissppointing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Had an issue with A/C in first room. Hotel staff were very accomodating in switching us to another room. They even gave us a complimentary wine & cheese tray for our troubles. Everyone on staff was very courteous and professional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"satisfactory stay"
overall satisfied with room, just some issues to note: *the room was directly accross from elevator (have been fine with this before), but the door was slightly off hinge creating large gaps on bottom and sides allowing for loud voices/conversations. * there was a very long and noticeable crack in the sink in the restroom, which caused the water to […] drip down below and on to the floor by the toilet everytime you turned it on. Location was awesome and was glad I got the deal with free parking and free breakfast. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Double Tree Suites by Hilton-Houston Galleria"
There was a problem with the tub drain in our room. I ocntact the front desk and the problem was fixed when returned that evening. They also offered to move us to a better room, which we declined, because the room we were was great and the problem had been corrected. So, they paid for our breakfast; I was very pleased with the customer service & response […] time of the staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Double Tree Suites Galleria"
I made reservations for my wife and I on New Years Eve. Yes, I understand that it is a busy evening but this went beyond that. Upon arrival we had to park at the rooftop of the parking garage. We had to walk down the parking garage stairs to get to the floor level. We had to dodge broken bottles, trash and glass on the way down the stairs. While entering […] the lobby we could tell the hotel was full because the line for the elevator stretched to the door. When checking in the lady explains to me that they did not have a king room available like my reservation stated. She stated that they could not guarantee a king room rsvp done thru a third party (Hotel.com) service. After a bit of complaining they suddenly found a room available. We proceeded to go to the elevator and wait 20 minutes in line. Only one of four elevators were operating. As we arrived on our floor we noticed it was extremely noisy. Once entering the room we noticed it was either still occupied or had not been cleaned. A baby crib was in the middle of the floor, bed unmade and tub full of water. We closed the door immediately and went to use the house phone in the hallway. It of course did not work. we called from my cell phone to let them know the room was not available and they said they would send a bellhop up to give us another key to another room. After waiting 30 minutes we decided to cancel our reservation and stay somewhere else. It was a nightmare of a visit from beginning to end. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"DoubleTree Suites offers a sweet stay"
The welcoming we received and all the help from the front desk was great. They were always helpful, responsive and really sweet. The executuve sweet size was really sweet too. Though not high-end and fancy, the place was enormous and clean. Location of hotel is ideal. Overall We loved our stay and would return again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Parties in the Hall All Night Long"
My wife and I decided to get away for a night and booked the Doubletree. As soon as we checked in the power went out for about 10 minutes and continued to go off and on intermittently over the next several hours. The hotel said this was a problem with the electric company and beyond their control which I can accept. We went out to dinner and came back […] to our room around 9:00 PM. Shortly after we heard a large group of people congregating around the elevator which was right outside our door. After about 5 minutes of yelling and screaming from them I stuck my head out the door and asked if they could please keep it down. They left but were soon back so I called the front desk who told me they would send security up. Fifteen minutes later it finally quieted down. This continued to go on 4 more times finally ending at around 3:30 AM. Each time I called the front desk and was told they would send security up to check it out. When I checked out the next morning I explained my dissatisfaction and they offered to pay for my $12 parking charge. After I told him that wasn't really much he offered to comp us the breakfast buffet which we accepted. I won't go into the buffet in detail but they were out of everything but scrambled eggs. Aside from the air not cooling below 74 in the room it was a wonderful stay. The staff was fabulous, amenities perfect, CLEAN, CLEAN CLEAN. I am usually unable to be satisfied with hotel cleanliness but this one was perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Double Tree at the Houston Galleria"
This is an older hotel, that unfotunately needs some work. Our toilet was running until my husband fixed it, our bathroom light worked sporadically, and the air conditioner took all night to reach a comfortable temperature. The bed skirt had a visible stain on it as well. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately all our problems occured in the middle […] of the night when you are really not wanting to call a maintenance worker in! "Disapointed for a 4 star hotel"
The room didnt look like the pics and wasnt very bright in a lighting aspect. the tv's were old and the bathroom was small for an executive suite. nice very and good service, but they make you pay for parking which i thought was silly. food was solid, service with a smile. Overall id say disappointing to be a 4 star hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
