This Sheraton is more of a business class hotel than a leisure class one. We enjoyed our stay there and found it clean, and polished, with a high quality build. The staff was friendly and polite and respectful. It included free wifi, free parking which is hard to get in Houston, and offered a continental breakfast for just a little more. This was a clean, comfortable hotel with extremely nice employees in all areas who will take care of you. We stayed 8 days and were treated very well. They have a nice gym facility but the pool and hot tub are outside which only matters during the few cool months in Houston (Dec-Feb). HINTS: 1) They have a breakfast buffet that is OK but not great due […] to the fact that the food is not constantly kept at the proper temperatures for my taste. You CAN, however, ALWAYS (all day) order a Belgian waffle or omelet OFF the buffet. The usual hostess/waitress is wonderful. 2) Ask for a room facing the POOL, not the Galleria view or else the freeway traffic will keep you awake. The quieter rooms are odd-numbered. 3) They do have a van that will take you to the huge Galleria shopping area. There is a multitude of restaurants in the Galleria and also on Post Oak right across the street (great restaurants)- but don't expect cheap shopping at this mall. Memorial City Mall is better for shopping. The van will also take you down 290 to a Walmart/ Restaurant area but it's not scenic. 3. There is still major construction going on in this area and the detour for getting on 610 South leading to Galleria or to I-10 is extremely confusing, especially at night. Don't let hotel.com tell you that the construction posting is old. This was still going on as of Jan. 2012 and will continue for much longer by the looks of it. BUT, it's worth it if you can figure out the traffic and get a good deal. To get back on 610 S (& to I-10) you have to exit hotel down the 290 feeder. Go to the next U-turn where it says 610S Detour. After you make the U-turn, DO NOT get on the 290 HOV lane which is the first left entrance ramp (it is only open at night). The 2nd entrance ramp will take you to 601 NORTH but it's not labeled. Continue to 18th street and get in center left lane - turn left and then take the right ramp which will finally take you to 610 South. The signage is horrid so I hope this helps. I had to Read more

Here is Sheraton's idea of continental breakfast: Good: Oatmeal, fruits, juice , coffee & tea. Bad: Stale slices of bread,bagel & muffin. Definitely not worth the $20.00 per day charged for it.

This Sheraton has to be discounted to meet expectations. The breakfast was not free as advertised, and the staff could not help resolve the issue. We recently stayed at the Sheraton Brookhollow for 6 nights. Things went well until we returned to our room on our fifth night, when our keys wouldn't open the door. We went down to the front desk and were told that the system had us listed as checked out, and that someone else was now checked in. We were immediately panicked about all our stuff that […] was neatly placed in the drawers and closet. The front desk clerk was rude, snapping at my wife when she merely expressed in a quiet manner, concern about our things. The manager then came out and walked us to our room, and sure enough, someone else's luggage was there, though all our stuff seemed safe and secure where we had left them. The manager wheeled the other person's luggage out, and said he would send us up new keys. A few minutes later, after not hearing anything, we opened the door and found our new keys on the floor next to the door. They didn't even bother to check that we had received them safely!. The next night, we returned to our room, and once again, the keys didn't work. Going back down to the front desk, the previously rude clerk gave way to another much more pleasant clerk who explained to us that sometimes the electronics fail and keys don't work. He quickly made us up a new set and gave us 2 coupons for free appetizers at the hotel restaurant. Only thing was that the restaurant was already closed for the evening, and we had to leave early the next morning before it opened, so essentially, the coupons were worthless to us. We were glad our stay came to an end because we weren't sure what would happen if we had to come back for another night. Read more

The Hotel was nice for the money. There was a couple of times that the people at the desk were rude, but for the most part everyone was very friendly.
