Very clean resort with very colorful décor and great service. First when we get there, we arrived very early, 3 hours before normal check-in time. Even since we were so early they still got us a room, and not only that, the king bed we requested was not available at that time, so they gave us a free upgrade to a full suite, which was almost double the […] rate of what we paid. We were totally surprised by that. The pools there are very large and colorful with characters from Cars, Finding Nemo, Lion King, and Little Mermaid. And they have music playing under the water in the pools also, thought that was neat. Definitely geared toward children. No hot tubs in the resort. There are free life vests for kids and locker rooms and bathrooms around the pools. Rooms were designed well and lots of space, but the beds were very hard and uncomfortable, that is the only issue we had with the resort, Food court had much better choices than the last time we were at Disney, in terms of healthier items to choose from, and that goes for all the other places to eat throughout Disney too. If you are taking children I would definitely recommend staying here. Read more

Aside from zero cell phone service (but we are in vacation do we REALLY need to be connected all the time?), we very much enjoyed our week at Art of Animation. We have plans to return in September.

Staying at this hotel was so much fun, for kids and adults! Our Finding Nemo Family Suite was a great size, beautifully decorated and so clean. The buses from the hotel to the Disney parks ran on time, which could not be said for some of the other Disney resorts where we've stayed.

The room itself and the service provided at the hotel were excellent. The only real criticism I have for the Art of Animation would be the quality of the mattresses they are using. I have stayed at other "value" resorts and do not recall them having such stiff, low quality mattresses. Otherwise this hotel is very well themed and laid out, with much […] less walking distance between the farthest point of the hotel and the bus stop area as compared with other value resorts. We have stayed at most of the on property resorts from value to the top. Got a suite (Finding Nemo Suite) here. Best location on the property and very spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant was good with decent variety and well run. we did not find it overly crowded or loud and it was Easter weekend. Pool was heated and there is always something […] doing for activities especially for the kids. Bus transport was excellent, never had much of a wait to or from parks/hotel. Never even saw Cars section or Little Mermaid section. Huge resort. Again, if you can do it, get the Finding Nemo suites for best location that is central to everything. Read more

Way better than any of the other value resorts at Disney. Bedding was terrible and towels were like very thin towel pools. Besides those two "comfort" issues the resort was amazing.

Loved everything about the hotel, definitely first class. The only concern I had was that there are 6-8 different buildings on the premisis and ours was a good 10 minute walk away from the food and pool. So just make sure that whatever building(theme like Cars, Lion King)you pick that you are ok with the trek. Lower cost Disney resort hotel but it was very clean and staff was nice and helpful. If you have issues getting around you may want to stay try staying in a building close to the cafeteria. The Little Mermaid rooms were quite a distance from the check in desk, buses and cafeteria.

There were wonderful themed areas with fun outside art /characters, clean and great decor. we took many pictures. We had fun at the outside movie at night, but needed more sitting chairs. We sat on ground for 2 hrs. hard for a 50 yr old grandparent. It was kind of chaotic and confusing at the cafeteria. Our grandson wanted chicken nuggets and Mac and […] cheese, but it was not on menu the three days we were there. Our 4 yr old grandson's favorite foods ; hamburgers, chicken nuggets, pizza, and mac and cheese . Mermaid rooms very small but good housekeepers and fun towel animals. Will probably come back in a couple of years with little sister, but might want a bigger room and closer room to main pool area and food court. Long walks for litte feet. We absolutely loved staying at the Art of Animation. yes it was a long walk to the bus, but that didn't bother us - and we had a toddler in tow. If you walk along the parking lot vs. going through the resort, it cuts a ton of time off your jaunt. The room was exactly what we needed for our family and the pools were great. The biggest downfall was leaving Magic Kingdom at night- that was the longest wait trying to board our bus, because it's so new, everyone is staying there...They just need more buses to accomodate all of the families! My room was shipshape every day upon my return. I was never disturbed by any cleaning personnel. Never needed to ask for anything for my room. The desk personnel were helpful and answered all my questions. Wake up calls system was perfect! The magic express was on time and the driver entertained us all the way back to the airport!

Newest Disney Resort. We stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms. It was a decent hike from the food court, but well worth it. The room was beautiful and delighted my 7 year old daughter. Amenities included a fridge, but no microwave, and its too far to walk up to the food court just to use the microwave.

This was a shame. First the staff should take the same customer service "videos" or training that Disney world theme parks take- being that this is affiliated it should be the same. The staff was not friendly rather seemed bothered when u asked for something-on movie night there weren't enough chairs and there were about 10 parents with kids sitting […] up or sitting on the floor-when asked the entertainment guy said that there was nothing they could do! The resort might be new but definitely not the building-the cleaning people did not do a good job and the most upsetting was the cost of the food! it was ridiculous- I understand that there is a meal plan but for those that are just going for a couple of days it didn't make sense- for a family 4 we were spending about $175 a day for "cafeteria" food and it was the same menu each day. The lines were too long and it seemed that every cashier was in training. One morning it took me over 40 minutes for us to get food waiting 20 minutes in the omelette station. The pool was very cold even though it says it's heated...and the entertainment people for kids was really sad! they weren't motivating and actually did not relate to the kids-they looked bored!! This was our first Disney Resort Stay, and we loved it! We stayed in "The Little Mermaid" room and the theme was precious! The rooms were clean, the service was great, and the lobby restaurant/shop was so convenient. It's easy to forget that this is one of Disney's budget resorts because it felt like a luxury!
