Disney's Pop Century Resort is located in the Lake Buena Vista area of Orlando, Florida, 0.3 miles from Wide World of Sports, 1.6 miles from Disney's Hollywood Studios™, and 3 miles from Epcot theme park.
Hotel Features.
This 177-acre Disney Value Resort Hotel is a celebration of 20th-century pop culture. From bowling pins and eight-tracks to laptops and cell phones, icons from the 1950s through the 1990s surround 3 heated pools, an arcade, and a 640-seat food court. A children's pool (unheated) a playground with a Goofy water feature appeal to the younger crowd. Laundry facilities, a poolside bar, and a 7,000-square-foot retail area are on site. Guests receive complimentary transportation to and from the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks and from and to the Orlando International Airport.
Guestrooms.
Disney's Pop Century Resort features 2,880 nonsmoking guestrooms. Preferred rooms are closer to the main building (with the lobby and food court) and the pools than the Standard rooms. Guestrooms offer in-room safes, phones with voice mail, and complimentary wireless Internet access. Rollaway beds are available on request for rooms with king beds only (surcharge); bed boards and bed rails are also available.

I loved the atmosphere at this hotel. There are always people out and about. The disney store in the lobby stayed open till midnight as well as the pools. They have three large pools and play games, music, and outdoor movies at the main pool. The staff was super friendly and very willing to help with any questions or requests. "Pictures don't tell the story"
The rooms are old, outdated, and incredibly small. There is also a smokers' hub right next to the main building/dining room that you have to walk through every time you go to the pool, dining room, or front desk. Maybe not a big deal if you're a smoker, but it is if you're not. It's a ridiculous place to put that spot in my opinion. All of the park […] staff, when they found out where we were staying, said," You should check out Art of Animation." I would encourage you to do likewise. The cleaning staff repeatedly left cleaning supplies behind in our room. The grounds stunk with whatever they had in their shrubbery beds. The staff was very helpful and worked hard to meet requests. "Close to all the Disney attractions"

"Fun Disney resort, but small rooms"
We stayed at Pop Century over Easter weekend. The resort is clean and the hotel staff is beyond accommodating. The rooms are a standard room and on the smaller side. We had two double beds and when you opened the room door, you nearly run into one of the beds. The room comes with a refrigerator, which was nice for baby's bottles. Room was clean, but […] notices one of the clean towels on the rack had stains, so asked housekeeping for a replacement. The hotel offers a shuttle to theme park or free parking at the park. We took the shuttle to downtown disney and it was convenient, but we opted to drive the next day. Overall, cute and friendly hotel but I'll have to consider next trip if Disney hotel is truly worth paying three times as much as surrounding off disney property hotels. We were busy at the park all day so never used hotel pool or any fun ammenities at the resort. "Great value at a Disney Resort"
The rooms were extremely outdated and the beds were rock hard. The price was great, the location was great. I love that when you stay at a disney resort you get a plastic card that can link your credit card and your ticket which means you can carry that card and your license into the park and that is all. "Without a car you will have to eat unhealthy food"
I did'nt like the food. Tons of Pizza, Burguers and fatty food. Its a shame that a Company so related to children populations serves unhealthy foods in this century. It is quite huge and there is a long distance between most rooms and front office This is Mary macleod I had a room as well as Coralee who had a problem with service when she was leaving with trying to get someone to her room to help bring her baggage to the front to depart and eventually had to bring them herself and she had miscommunications about […] checking her bags at airline check in and was given wrong info about how to get to The swan resterant to eat dinner . The place is not very handicapped accessible . The room was compact for our family of four (two kids under 4), as we had a challenge getting our double stroller in the door past the bed that was right next to the entrance . For the value and the added conveniences of staying in a Disney property, Pop Century can't be beat.
