The glamour and magnificence of the Victorian era can be relived at Disney's Grand Floridian in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Magic Kingdom® is less than one mile from the hotel, and Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom are all within seven miles. Orlando International Airport is 20 miles from the resort.
Hotel Features.
The focal point of the Grand Floridian's five-story lobby is an illuminated stained glass dome. Architectural detail is prominent, as was common in Victorian buildings. Typical of the era, a grand piano, ornate chandeliers and metal scrollwork all complement the resort's public areas. The Grand Floridian offers complimentary transportation to Disney's parks, but resort guests need never leave the 6-building property to enjoy a full-service spa, two pools and a white sand beach dotted with colorful umbrellas.
Activities for children include cruises and tea parties. The resort also has shops, a marina and on-site childcare. Additional resort amenities include ballrooms, a piano, 18 small conference rooms, concierge desk, assistance with tickets and tours, and laundry facilities. Valet parking is available for an extra cost.
An entertaining start to a day might include breakfast with Cinderella, the Mad Hatter and other Disney favorites at 1900 Park Fair Buffet Restaurant. The property includes 6 dining options. Victoria and Albert's Restaurant offers sumptuous décor and dining, with the romantic ambience enhanced by harpists and a rose for each lady. Adjacent is Citrico's Restaurant, where market-fresh Mediterranean cooking offers Tuscan-inspired favorites.
Guestrooms.
The Grand Floridian's 867 guestrooms are surrounded by tropically landscaped gardens on the Seven Seas Lagoon, across from Disney's Magic Kingdom. Decor includes Victorian accents such as pastel colors, printed wall coverings, light-wood armoires, marble-top sinks with period fittings and 19th century-style woodwork.
Amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access, MP3 docking station, TV with cable service, multi-line telephones, coffeemakers, and in-room safes. Most guestrooms also feature balconies. Bathrooms come with makeup/shaving mirrors and hair dryers. Refrigerators and microwave ovens are available upon request. In-room child care can be arranged for an additional charge. In-room massage is available.

We offer a number of special treatments designed to introduce our youngest Guests, ages 4 to 12, to proper skincare healthy living. Guests 12 years and older are welcome to receive our regular spa treatments. Guests ages 14 to 17 years must be accompanied by an adult while in the Spa and during massage, water or body treatments.
Select spa products used at Disney's Grand Floridian Spa are also sold on site in the Spa Boutique.

Disney's Grand Floridian Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be closed for enhancements from September 19, 2011 to early 2013. During this refurbishment period, the Resort fitness facility will remain open for Guest enjoyment.
