For a medium level hotel on Disney property, I expected it to be nicer. The room was very small. The mattresses were absolutely horrible. We had to request a fridge. Definitely just an alright hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a great time! Everything we needed was provided, we loved the mickey mouse soap and shampoos! The room was cleaned beautifully everyday and the quality of the food in the commisary was awesome. I also loved that you carry Kendall Jackson Wine!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good family hotel"
The hotel was extremely clean and up to date. We stayed in the pirate rooms, they are small and only have double beds. Even though we were not in it much, it still was very cramped for my husband, myself and our grandson. The food at the food court was not very good. Transportation was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pirates Rooms in Timbuktu"
Overall a good experience. Trinidad South was a long way from the main part of the resort. We stayed at CBR because we wanted to park the car and walk or use Disney Transportation. We ended up driving to the large pool etc because of the distance and the wait for the bus. When we stay again we will request a room closer to the resort center.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disney family vacation, mostly good."
We generally enjoyed our stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Our 3 year old liked the 'pirate' room, and we thought it was cute. The room was quite small, but clean. The resort covers a large area, and dining was not very convenient, as we were the furtherest away from the central dining area. We also did not care for the cafeteria style breakfast and […] lunch, luckily we were only there for 2 days. The pool was great, very cool theme, and we all enjoyed that the most. Also had a lot of activities for the kids. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had a lot of fun!"
Had a great time. The hotel was nice. Really liked that there was a quiet pool in each section if you wanted to avoid the giant kid's pool in the main area. The hotel is two floors but there is no elevator. They were able to accommodate us and put us on the main floor. Overall, very nice hotel and staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Pool for Toddlers"
The grounds were beautiful and the main pool area was fantastic for our 2.5 year old. The food area was good too. The rooms were fine, nothing fancy. There are so many choices for hotels, so the room wouldnt draw me back there, but if you have a toddler and the pool is important, this place is great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The kids selected this resort for the pirate themed rooms. Over the course of our 10 day trip to Orlando we stayed at three different hotels - Hilton Orlando, Disney's Caribbean Beach and Disney's Animal Kingdom lodge. The kids picked the Caribbean Beach as their favorite. This is an older resort but seems to be pretty well maintained. The pirate themed […] room is pretty cool and EVERTYTHING about it is pirate themed from the carpet that looks like wooden planks to the treasure chest luggage stand. The curtain that separates the sink and bathroom area from the rest of the room has a skull and crossbones that seem to glow when the light is on behind it. The property is huge so it can take awhile to walk to the food and main pool area but there is an internal shuttle. Also because of the size of the resort there are several bus stops when going to or returning from the theme parks so travel time is slightly longer. Transferring from one Disney resort was extremely easy, bell services meets you in your room and takes your bags and delivers them to your next resort. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reception Staff is not Helpful"
I booked a room at the Caribbean Beach Resort through Hotels.com under my husband's account. Because the room was in my husband's name, I could not check in for an HOUR mainly because the reception staff was not helpful. When they said there was a problem I called Hotels.com and Hotels.com immediately called the Caribbean Beach Resort and told them […] I was added to the account (I had already paid for the room with my own credit card in my name). The reception staff then said Hotels.com had to call the Disney wholesaler. I called Hotels.com back and they immediately did this. No one at Caribbean Beach would check that it had been done. At one point, four reception staff were standing around talking to each other and no one was helping me. I finally asked if I could talk to a manager. One of the reception staff basically said that the people at Hotels.com are liars and wouldn't take care of the problem, but Hotels.com couldn't have been more helpful and the people at Caribbean Beach resort did nothing. Last year I had the same problem at one of the Disney All-Star Resorts and the manager handled it in a couple minutes, not an hour. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Of course it was great, it's Disney."
The stay was fantastic. The only complaint I had were the schuttles at Downtown Disney. The only park continuation schuttle from Downtown Disney was Typhoon Lagoon. To get anywhere else from Downtown Disney you had to take a schuttle to a resort and then take another schuttle to your park of choice. You end up wasting an hour plus for what would otherwise […] be a 10 to 15 minute trip. They have boats there but nothing that really says where anything goes, so you end up having to figure it out as you go. Aside from that, it was the cleanest resort and park I have ever been to. All of the Disney staff members were super polite, and the cast members were excellent at staying in character. I loved it. Guaranteed I would go back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We have stayed at other Disney properties. This one was huge...which was actually a disadvantage. The buses had to stop at each stop on the property which made the late night full buses take forever. Also the food court was REALLY far from our room so we had to walk just to eat. I would not stay at this resort of al of the Disney resorts.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"POOR MAID SERVICE"
The cleanliness of the room was not the best. The maid service was horrible. We even had money taken from one of our room, so lock up and use the safes.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great bus service to all theme parks"
This was our first time staying at this resort and it was really great. Our maid kept our room very clean and even when we had our privacy sign out she left a bag full of towels, soap, etc on our door. Our bus stop was literally outside our door and we were able to catch the bus to all theme parks easily. My one and ONLY complaint is that our building […] was way in the back of the resort and it was quite a long walk to the food court, main pool, etc....thankfully I had my teenage daughter who just got her license and was more than happy to drive up to the front and pick up snacks at night :-) We mainly used the small pool by our building and it was nice because it was never crowded. The kids also really enjoyed the movies by the pool at night. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we would certainly stay here again. This is our 4th time to Disney and we have always stayed at the value resorts; however, now with a teenager (16) and a pre-teen (12) we decided to try something new and this hotel was more geared towards their age group. "One of the bests Hotels!"
It was very convenient if you are going to be visiting one of the parks since they provide the transportation and saving in park parking lots. Also the Resort had many different villages with their own park-bus pick up and we didn't have to walk a lot, buses came every 15 minutes; we were in the park right away even though our village was one of the […] last ones. This was the very important to us because we wanted to enjoy the parks right away. We got the Pirate room which was awesome. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and two kids stayed here for three nights while visiting Disney World. The resort is sprawling. It is a beautiful place. My only two issues were the following: there was one day that or room was not cleaned at all! We called twice and it still wasn't cleaned. No apologies were offered. Guest relations were non existent. The other issue was […] that our hotel building was a far distance from the food court and main pool. We had no idea of this when making the reservations. Other than these two things, it was fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Do not recommend it"
1) The reservation for a 4-ppl room was under my name, but as one of the guests was going to arrive hours before the other of us, I called the hotel to change the reservation to his name and was informed that I had to call Hotels.com, as my reservation was made through it. So I did. I actually got a confirmation e-mail with the new reservation, but […] when my friend tried to take the shuttle to the hotel in the airport, his name was not in the system. After 40 mins I solved the problem and he went to the hotel. Surprisingly, he had the same problem in the check-in and I called the hotel once again. It took another 40 mins. 2) A luggage that I had forgotten in another hotel was delivered there with a huge paper with my name and room #. I had informed at reception that I was expecting it and asked them to send it to my room. They said it would not be a problem. Unfortunately they didn't, but this was not the problem: when I went to reception to ask about my luggage, they just didn't know about it! It was not in the luggage room and nobody had a clue about where it was. 24 hours after the luggage had arrived, someone found it in a separate room where nobody ever comes in. It cost me USD 70 to have the luggage delivered the day before because all my wife's clothes were in there. Obviously we had to buy her some new clothes when we noticed that nobody knew where the luggage was. 3) the bed was terrible. Mattress too soft and the spring made a LOT of noise. The pirate rooms were adorable, my boys loved them! The maid service was slightly lacking. The grounds were beautiful. The main pool was very fun, but my husband witnessed a lifeguard that was not attentive enough to an injured child.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a good place to stay for the Disney feel. You have nice people all about the parks, lots of info, and convenience. It helps to get free parking to the parks. The pool and waterslides are excellent. However, for the price you don't get all that much. The rooms are pretty plain and not more quality than a budget hotel in terms of bathroom, carpet, […] beds, A/C, etc. It is still a long drive to good food and entertainment as Disney is so large. Everything on the property (drinks, food, etc.) is horribly overpriced. I am not sure if I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pirate pool a highlight."
We are annual passholders and Florida residents so we have stayed at many area hotels. The room was fine, nothing spectacular. While clean, it seemed dated and nothing about it suggested Disney. Depending on what your are looking for (extra magic hours, Disney transportation) you could do better for your money staying off-property. The Downtown Disney […] area hotels are a good alternative. We waited up to 30 minutes for the right bus, then the bus made multiple stops picking up passengers at the other villages of the resort. So expect that it might take you up to an hour to arrive at the park. The grounds are nice, and it's a pleasant walk around the lake to the main pool area/food court. My 3 year old LOVED the pirate themed kid's pool! It was definitely a highlight for her, and she hasn't stopped talking about it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"You Get What You Pay For...."
Going with a Disney Resort makes vacationing at the Disney theme parks pretty pain free. The room was great (loved the Nemo and Dori wallpaper), pools were awesome and the included transportation means you never have to get in your car again once you check in. So no parking fees and no long wait for transportation to and from the "way out" parking spaces […] at the theme parks. The concierge was very helpful getting our admission tickets. Plus the whole "Magic Hour" deal for Disney properties can't be beat. Bottom line, you can stay at cheaper hotels in the area, but the extra $$ to stay at a Disney place was well worth it to us. Everything associated with Disney is pricey, but that is pretty much a given going into the whole process of going there.... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Excellent property. The teenagers I had with me really enjoyed the hotel and all it had to offer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Kids had a blast at the pools. Rooms were ok but you don't spend much time in the room. Beds were small. Food was fair. Tip: if kids are not big eaters they can split $8 chicken tenders. Was a nice size portion. Grounds were well maintained. Internet wifi worked well. Mini fridge worked well but no freezer. Shuttle service was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay hotel, but overpriced."
This hotel feels like a fancy Days Inn. There are no elevators, the satellite TV reception is iffy, and the rooms are average. Spend the extra money and stay in one of the Disney Deluxe properties instead.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ove-rpriced and over-rated"
The staff went out of their way to help--can't commend them enough, and Disney is certainly one of the most disability-friendly places on earth. That being said, I don't anticipate ever staying at a Disney resort again. Extremely overpriced for the quality of the accomodations and amenities offered. Hate to think that if this was a "moderate" resort, […] what could the budget resorts possibly be like. With only one sit-down restaurant (and it only served dinner) and a food court; there was no breakfast room service, so if you wanted something to eat before setting out, you had to make a long hike to the food court for even a cup of coffee and a pastry. The hotel check-in staff was very nice. Once we saw the room, my husband and I both thought we could have stayed at one of the other cheaper Disney hotels and had a similar stay because the room was nothing fancy at all. The room was clean and the king sized bed was comfortable. It was very nice to have the shuttle to and from the parks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The resort was great for families especially with young children. A lot to do without going to theme parks. The only negative I have is rooms are too small and ill appointed for families especially with young children but they are the same in all the moderate resorts on Disney properties.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's great to stay at a Disney Resort!"
Love staying at a Disney Resort! The extra time in the park, as a resort guest is the best. We usually stay at the Beach Club, near Epcot, and love it there. Check in was wonderful. My daughters and I were given wands! As a mother daughter trip, I felt very safe and relaxed. The food court was very good, with lots of variety. The only negative is that […] our room had a strong odor, like carpet cleaner, not sure. You get used to it, but it was a bit off-putting at first. But, would consider staying there again. "A wonderful experience for families and pirate lov"
We stayed in the new pirate rooms because my four year old loves Jake on Disney Junior. The room was very well done with the pirate theme. The resort has a great feel to it as you can walk from village to village and check out the private beaches complete with hammocks and beach chairs. Each village has a small pool that is ok, but the main pool is […] amazing. Themed around an old fort, containing slides, a zero degree entry, and a pirate boat splash park. They show Disney movies poolside each night which we loved, and you can view one of the parks fireworks behind the screen. The whole resort is connected by a lagoon which you can rent boats and cruise around. You are super close to: Epcot, Hollywood Studios, the Boardwalk, and Downtown Disney. It's a great place, in a great location, at a great value. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pretty nice resort"
My family chose this resort for a birthday celebration. The rooms were as expected.. themed, very nice, comfortable, updated, and everything worked just fine. The staff was very nice, as always. The single most frustrating thing was that my cell phone received 0 signal inside any building or my room, and the internet service was terrible. I work online, […] so have to do work, and had a very frustrating time getting this accomplished. I finally got a signal on my phone outside where I could use the hotspot, but even that was intermittent. Other guests were asking me how my signal was working because they had such trouble. I could not receive or make calls unless I was outside, including to my family members when trying to reconnect at places. Besides that, the food area and pool area were convenient and just fine. I'd rate this resort in the middle among all Disney resorts, though. If you stay here, request a room on one of the islands close to the market and main pool for sure!
