"old-school" in a good way. Well-maintained property, clean room. Very pleasant staff, seem to care about their hotel and your experience there. Beach within walking distance, w/ playground. Especially liked the polynesian-style vaulted ceiling of dining room, and open-air lobby. The hotel was very nice, but some of the details seemed mid-range. The policy of the hotel chain was to charge a small additional fee for entertainment (a DVD machine, internet access) regardless of whether or not you want it, which made me feel a little nickel-and-dimed, but I understand it. Skimpy towels. Quick, thoughtful service.

The hotel staff was very accomadating. Hotel needs some updating. We had an ocean view room which is facing the park. The park next to the property is full of roosters and chickens. 4:30AM they started crowing, every 10 seconds until around 10am. If you like to sleep in, do not stay on the park side of the property.

I stayed at thei hotel again becacuse of the location and price . There needs to be more rooms for people with disabilities I have bad knees and the toilet in our room is very low if this is the same in the hotel then I will stay at another hotel because my disabilliteis is a huge issue and I had to walk alot in the hotel I liked walking but if my knee […] was in a flare up I would be walking . I would have liked to have a microwave in my room . I would also suggest like some other chaln hotels to have a breakfast set up for free this I am sure would bring much more business. Read more

The room was good, the ocean view was great overlooking the pool and nearby park. But the bed left a whole lot to be desired, if i wanted to sleep on the floor or on a slab of concrete I would've stayed at the airport terminal for my extra night on the beutiful garden isle. My observations of this hotel were from a midwestern point of view...if it's […] broke FIX IT.. Nothing fancy, but a great location. Missed our flight off the island and needed a quick place to stay. Hotels.com was the answer. Hotel was clean, staff was nice. Hotel is not on the ocean as some pictures would indicate.

This hotel is beautifully situated on Lydgate Beach and a short drive from the airport. We stayed one night after being in a friend's timeshare for the week. Our room was in the "Melia" wing (spelling?) which must have been reserved for those that got a good deal online. Our room was a bit musty (needed fans in the bed and bath areas) but clean and […] orderly. It was almost impossible to open our sliding glass door and the glass was almost opaque from age. No deck, just a wrought iron "fence" plastered onto the side. Safe was "out of order." Lovely view. This was obviously once a very grand hotel. The entry is beautiful and echos of old Hawaii with its interesting roof line and chandeliers. The main restaurant/bar is also quite nice (comfy outdoor seating). There are several ponds and fountains: none were turned on and were quite stagnant and stinky. Perhaps they were turned off because we happened to be there 3 days after the 3/10/11 tsunami? The proximity to the lovely Lydgate Beach cannot be beat (sheltered area created for kids and adults - too bad we could not snorkle due to the poor water clarity and high surf). Funny that the pools on the website look so inviting. In person, the pools are actually tiled with a deep blue, strange and outdated looking tile. On the website, the pools look like regular concrete (the result of PhotoShop, perhaps?). Tidy landscaping. Staff VERY warm, friendly and accommodating. Bartender was a hoot! If you want Grand Hyatt luxury, this is not the place. But very comfortable, affordable and convenient otherwise. Great for a family on a budget. Read more

We had a late check in and we were travel weary so check-in went well. Room was very nice and we had an ocean view so the next morning we had a lovely sight. The hotel is right by Lyndgate Park so we had some lovely walks along the shore. The early bird breakfast special was great!! Everyone was very nice. You are close to the airport.

値段の割には良い感じなので、今回で３回目の宿泊です。王の道と言われているワイルア川の近くとヘイアウが近くにいくつもありパワースポット好きには便利な場所です♪ホテルは古い感じは否めませんが、フロントはリゾート感を味わえるので値段のわりには良いと思う。ホテルについているレストランの朝食はＮＧ！スーパーで買って部屋で食べた方がいいかなぁ。。。あとはエアコンの調節がうまくできなくて、フリースを来てねました。。。

Die zuerst angebotenen Zimmer im Untergeschoss waren unbefriedigend. Schlechter Geruch. Nach Rücksprache mit der Reception wurden uns andere Zimmer zugeteilt die in Ordnung waren.

ビーチ側の部屋ではありませんでしたが、ホテルの中を通りすぐにビーチパークに出れるので問題ありませんでした。 ３日間のカウアイ島だったので２泊しましたが、観光も動きやすい場所だと思います。 特にノース方面に行かれる方にはお勧めです。 キーラウエア灯台やハナレイ湾のビーチに行くのには車を走らせれば十分行ける距離です。ちなみにシダの洞窟行きの船着場へは徒歩でいけると思います。 最終日の朝にビーチへ出てみましたが、サンライズが見られるので朝はお勧めです。ビーチに行くとヘイアウがありますので、太陽の昇るこのヘイアウを神聖な場所に感じるでしょう。 私は夕食にレストランを使いましたが、近くの町に車で行って食べられる時間ならばその方がいいかもしれません。 ホテルの方の接客は親切です。日本語を話す方とは会いま […] せんでしが、日本語のホテルの地図をくれるのでビーチやお部屋へはたどり着けます＾＾ お部屋はとても広いです。スーツケースも難なく広げる事ができます。 ベッドも大きいです。(ツインルーム使用) また次回も是非このホテルを使いたいと思います。 Read more
