"Loved the pillows!"
We've stayed there each time we've been to the wine country of Los Olivos, and we'll definitely stay there again. The bed was so comfy that I didn't want to get up.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The walls are pretty thin...we could hear talking in the next room. And the ceiling is too thin...we were on the first floor and could hear every step on the floor above us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"humble, et comforatble"
We were given a corner room after I had written that we have small children, which was wonderful. We did not notice any noise problems at all, but it may be because the hotel wasn't full. The room was quite comfortable, the hot tub and pool were great, and our children even enoyed swing the golf clubs at the putting green. The continental breakfast […] was very light - danishes and muffins with juice and hot drinks - no fruit, yogurt or cereal. The only negatives I noticed were what looked like black mold in a crevice in the tub and in the sides of the pool. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Needs Improvement"
You pay for location with this motel. The rooms are dated and small with old carpet, furniture and amenities. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The placement of the swimming pool and putting green in the center of the courtyard is poorly thought out. The rooms that face toward the courtyard hear all the noise. Furthermore, the walls are very […] thin, so even when it is relatively quiet, you can hear every noise from neighboring rooms and outside. The breakfast is pathetic, just muffins and bread. For the price, this place is not worth it. The stay is not comfortable enough to warrant the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's a Room"
This motel is close to Solvang, our destination, and is the cheapest place to stay in the area. There are several other older motels near Pea Soup Anderson's, and they're all about the same vintage. The service folk were all very friendly, and we were checked in quickly. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The 3 stars out of 5 are for the […] fact that the walls are paper thin. Literally. We had the joy of listening to the conversation of the people below us (thankfully it was only conversation). I don't have any better recommendations (we've stayed in a few of these local motels) unless you want to pay significantly more to stay in Solvang proper. I'm just setting your expectations. "A Good, Basic Place to Stay"
I stayed here on a holiday weekend and needed a basic place to spend the night. Absolutely no issues with check in/check out. The room was clean and more spacious than I was expecting, and the pea soup the restaurant is famous for did not disappoint. Good water pressure in the shower. The only minor drawback was that the walls were a bit thin and let […] in some noise from the road out front and the room next door. But overall I was very satisfied and would stay here again. "Great Hotel, Great Soup !!"
We always stay at Pea Soup Andersen's Inn when we have business in the area. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a great restaurant with that famous Split Pea Soup (also discovered they have a killer hamburger!!)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic Hotel"
This hotel was excellent. They had many ammenities in the room including an iron and ironing board; hairdryer, refrigerator, coffeepot, microwave, and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, in a hotel room. They had a decent continental breakfast available, the room was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Roadside at Buelton, Ca"
For a one night stay it is OK. the room was pleasant but the walls seemed like paper and I could hear next door conversations. Also the heater made a lot of noise when it went on at night interrupting our sleep.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quick Getaway"
Pleasant, easily accessible to Lompoc and Solvang. Room had thin walls, and were next to the staircase which got a bit noisy at times. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was very clean, nice flat screen tv. There is a Jaccuzi and pool, and free putting green. The continental breakfast could use a little more diversity. Pastries, coffee, juices and toast […] was all that was served. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free computer use in lobby and free printing. Would stay again! "Extraordinary customer service"
We were in Buellton for business. Pea Soup Andersen's was very affordable. Our room was clean, comfortable, well renovated, and quiet, with enough room for me to navigate around in a wheelchair, even though it wasn't officially a handicapped room. It had nice extras, including a microwave, a little fridge, and a mini-golf course outside. The hot tub […] was nice, and the pool big enough to swim laps. All the rooms seemed to have their own private patio. Breakfast was minimal: toast, danish, muffins, juice, coffee & tea, but it was served in an adorable and spotless little danish themed gazebo. All in all, the hotel was pleasant but ordinary. What made our visit extraordinary was the customer service. Late to an important meeting, our car battery went dead in the parking lot. No time to wait for AAA. The desk clerk from the hotel quickly and cheerfully brought around her own truck and gave us a jump start. Our trip was saved! This is the kind of superior customer service that you never get at a budget motel, and not at a 5-star hotel either. Thank you Pea Soup Andersen's, and especially THANK YOU JULIE! We will definitely be back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A step up from your average motel 6"
Your experience will depend on your expectations. Do not expect a lot. This is a motel, somewhat more comfortable and cleaner than your average motel 6. We checked in and were told that we had booked a smoking room, and that they'd only be able to offer us a non-smoking for the first night... I couldn't find anything on my confirmation that specified […] whether it was smoking or non-smoking - so BEWARE of this. Fortunately, they allowed us to stay in our 2 double bed non-smoking for the second night (I think because of a cancellation). This worked out fine because the whole bed moves if you make even the slightest movement, so we ended up sleeping in separate beds. The walls are pretty thin, and I could hear people walking upstairs throughout the night, quite a bit of creaking. The room was fairly clean, beds were a bit soft, everything was pretty old. Shower was comfortable, faucets and lights were all working properly. Breakfast pastries were average (muffins, danishes, OJ, coffee). Service was fine, not overly caring/sweet, but not rude either. There is not a lot around this little motel that is walking distance, aside from the Pea Soup restaurant and Gino's Pizza, so if you want a place to walk around, you might want to book in Solvang. But, Solvang is just a 6 minute drive, so it might be more economical to book here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Still good, after all these years"
I arrived late, and left early, so I did not spend much time enjoying the various amenities -- except for the great food at the Pea Soup Andersen's restaurant -- but my family has been stopping here for decades, and although I now live on the East Coast, it is good to know that it is still a good place to stop.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pleasantly surprised by the value offered"
I was pleasantly surprised by the Pea Soup Inn. I have stayed in a variety of places in wine country - from luxury boutiques to budget motels to private house rentals - and would highly recommend this motel as a less expensive option. Our room was very comfortable and conveniently included a mini fridge where we stored our cheese for our wine-tasting […] picnics, ironing board and iron, as well as all the typical amenities of a hotel room. Our room was in the back of the building, which seemed like it was quieter than the rooms in front that were closer to the street. The hotel has a little putting range and free golf clubs to borrow, a pool, and jacuzzi in the common area (which we did not use, although they all looked well-maintained). The front desk receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Also, we grabbed some of the free breakfast, which was nothing spectacular but good enough, given the low cost of the rooms. Overall, this hotel is an excellent value for the price and I would be very willing to stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"In the middle of all the wineries for tasting"
Beautiful inner area, breakfast only pastries, which were delicious, coffee and juice. Confusing layout re. inn vs restaurant. Little to no information provided upon check in. Tacky carpeting. No shampoo or conditioner, just a gel container. Friendliness limited. Walked to local visitor information center, quite helpful, walk was depressingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"'Coast"
The hotel rooms are very nice. However, the walls are very thin and you will hear your neighbors, just hope it is not at 3 a.m. When the shower started in the room adjacent to ours, it sounded like a hurricane. ditto for closing doors, sounded like they were slammed. A minor distraction to an otherwise pleasant hotel. Decent breakfast. Try to get a […] room away from the road. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
