"Noise was very annoying!"
Motel was great in many ways, but we could hear walking constantly from the floor above and it woke us up several times. Couldn't figure out if it was from the hallway or just the room above, but it was a structural problem and not just someone running or making unreasonable noises. "Bathroon cleanliness not up to standards"
My family travels quite a bit and we have been loyal patrons of Holiday Inn Express for some time. We have always been impressed by the quality of service and cleanliness of the rooms but we were extremely disappointed in our stay in Springfield. Upon entering our room very late at night, we found nothing but one complementary bottle of conditioner […] and bar soap in the bathroom (it was obvious that the cleaning personnel had neglected to replenish the supply after the previous customer had vacated the room). The tissue box was completely empty and there were pools of rust water around the base of the toilet. It was also obvious that the shower had not been cleaned properly. There were yellow streaks down the sides of the tub that looked at first to be permanent stains but rinsed off as soon as the shower was turned on. Maybe it was a one time fluke or the cleaning person had simply had a rotten day. Either way, we were very disappointed, especially since we had just stayed at a different Holiday Inn Express location at a much lower rate and had been completely satisfied with our stay. "Over-nighter"
We were only in town overnight during the summer. The first room had a very loud air unit, asked to be moved and were promptly accomedated. Very friendly staff. The second room had a few areas of mold in the bathroom and soem grout that was badly damaged, but the room was quite and dark.
