Hotel was booked online. I took my 3 kids on a weekend trip for a basketball tournament. Pictures shown online were not even close to the room we had. It was very dated, smelled horrible, and was advertised as a family oriented est. The parking lot was full of contractor trucks with very sketchy looking people. We even considered foregoing the prepaid […] rate and going elsewhere, my children were scared. Our room was 'nonsmoking', yet there was a spot on the fridge where a cigarette had burned out. Sad part is that was not the source of the foul odor in our room. They even charged an additional $12 for a rollaway that was reqested online. It was supposed to be part of the original fee. I will NEVER stay there again. In fact, I don't think I'll ever stay in a Super 8 and unless you're working outof town, I suggest you do the same. Read more

Disappointed! Attendants were not friendly. Breakfast was disgusting and we found hair in our food. The attendant would only put out 1 piece of fruit at a time. There was a snowstorm while we were there and no one shoveled or plowed until late the following afternoon. Our room key wouldn't work the second night and they had to do some extensive work […] to get our door open then gave us an old fashion key. I would not stay here again. For the price, it was an overall decent hotel. Beds were uncomfortable, room was really small and the bathroom needed some work. Probably would not stay there again, might spend the extra $10 to $20 to stay at a nice hotel.

You get what you pay for. Booked this hotel at last minute for a quick weekend to go to casino, race track and mall of america. Price was right. Walls were paper thin. Room quite small. Television selections were good. The pool and hot tub where on the smaller size but my kids didn't mind. The beds were comfortable and they had an extra cot for us avalaible. The continental breakfast had some variety. It was great for the money I spent and it was close to valley fair which was our destination.

The carpet in our room needed replacement/repair. The room smelled like a men's locker room full of stinky socks. The sheets were stained with yellow spots (they looked like they had been washed, but needed to be thrown out). This hotel was located in a bad part of town. The police were across the street with their lights flashing for half the night. The hotel room was as clean as it could be considering how old and in need of repair it was. The carpet was literally pulling away from the wall. The sheets were very worn and there were blood stains on the cover. Also, the […] lock on the back door of the hotel was broken so anyone could enter. Bottom line is that it is cheap. The overall stay was fine. I was placed in a Non-Smoking Room (Room #220). On our second night stay, we walked up to our floor and found that someone had been smoking Marijuana and the whole floor smelled of it. It was not something I would expect when I was on a family trip.

This was not a well maintained hotel. The room smelled musty. The pool water solders to be well past due for a cleaning and was cold. Sat down on the bed and the headboard fell off the wall revealing that it had been attached with a few drywall screws in the past that all managed to miss anything solid in the wall. Nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. Free breakfast with waffles, can't be that. Hotel has indoor pool, not much else as far as ammenities go. But if you're only looking for a place to sleep, it's okay.

Hotel staff was nice and friendly. I got there at 2:00 PM and they would not let us check-in till exactly at 3:00PM (which I understand is not their fault). Our friends stayed there the night before and they told us that all the rooms had been cleaned early in the AM. So, if the rooms are clean what would it hurt to let us in an hour early?? Luckily […] we sat in our friends room until 3:00 PM. otherwise, we would of had to roam around the town or sit in the vehicle to wait. I understand they have rules and I respect that, but I thought it would have been good customer service to let us check in early. Their contenential breakfast looked and smelled good, we did not eat there however. Also, this hotel is in need of some updating. Everything was old. Bathroom tub/faucets, T.V., the decor was all from the 80's. I pulled back the covers on our bed and we had a cigarette hole in the sheet (looked and smelled clean) but it didn't make me want to curl up in the bed and get cozy. This hotel was dirty, the shower had mold in it, the shower curtain was dirty. When I requested towles they didn't have any clean ones. When i recieved them one was dirty. They gave me a different room then requested. The breakfast didn't have any choises ffor my children.

The motel was clean, but smelled of cigarette smoke in most of the halls and guest rooms. I booked a no smoking room because I have allergies and so do my children. My no smoking room did not have a sign on the door, but many down the hallway did. When I asked about this I was told all the rooms were now "No Smoking". I was shocked to see a person standing […] in the door of the room next to mine puffing away on a cigarette and was told it could not be enforced because of no sign on his door either. I took my allergy meds and opened a window for fresh air! If it weren't so late, I would have looked for another motel or hotel. Good breakfast, nice pool, free wifi and cable. For the price, I expected at least a 2 star hotel, what I got wasn't even a 1 star. The place was a wreck, it stunk of B.O. and cabbage. the clerk was super rude, they photocopied my DL and credit card for their rcords and then put it into an unsecured filing cabinet. Hotel was pretty much what I expected. I was a little annoyed that they put me in a smoking room when I requested non-smoking. The smell wasn't too bad, although I did wake up with a headache- - not sure if that was from the smoke smell or the drinking from the night before. Overall, I'd stay there again. Definitely a no-frills stay.

Not what I was expecting. Location and staff were excellent. The building shows signs of ageing, both visually and sensory. Damp musty smelling. Othewise a-ok if you only needed as a place to sleep.
