"Awful, but good location for the airport"

"Close to airport, but that's about it."
The room was very worn out. The bed spread had stains and was looked dirty, but the sheets were clean. The carpet was stained. We wore our shoes when walking on it. We would not walk barefooted on the carpet. The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling. Even though it had been cleaned for the next guests, the bathroom was pretty nasty. "Hotel from Hell"

We had a confirmed reservation for the Days Inn Airport that was paid for. We had a flight delay deplaning in Charlotte due to weather. The Days Inn Airport sold our room before we arrived and had made no effort to find us a room at another hotel. Hotels.com refunded our money but made no effort to find us a room at another hotel. It was after midnight […] so I unable to use the hotels.com search engine to find us a room. We spent an hour on the phone and did not find a room. Overall, this motel served the purpose as a roof over our heads but little else. The outlets lacked covers and were so worn that nothing could be plugged in. We had to unplug the TV to be able to find one working plug in which to charge our cell phone with. "Days Inn Airport Charlotte"
First of all this hotel wasn't even a Days Inn, it was a Ramada, all the signage inside and outside the hotel said Ramada but the check in clerk confirmed it was Days Inn now, Secondly, the room smelled moldy and the bathroom actually had mold growing on the shower tiles. Additionally the free internet did not work, the phone in the room did not work […] and the front desk evening staff was aloof and offered to do nothing to fix the problems with the phone or internet. "The Worst Experience! This isn't a hotel"
After booking hotel on hotels.com I called the hotel to confirm my reservation - I asked if the provided a shuttle that ran round-the-clock. The attendant said yes just call from the airport baggage claim and give them 5 minutes. I called over 25 times - they never answered the phone, so I took a cab. When I finally arrived at the location I asked the […] attendant why they hadn't answer their phones and his response was a blank look. I was told I'm not given the last available room they have which was located at the very back of the property. I am a pretty tough woman but I was terrified of this property - I was certain I would be harmed on the walk to find my room. I get to the room and it is a non-smoking room (i was clear on specifiing I needed a non-smoking room). I called the front desk because I was afraid to walk back there and was told they had no other rooms and mumbled sorry. Again because I was so creep out by the room I tried moving all large furniture in front of the door for safely - I'm glad I did - some time during the early morning I felt my room door shake. later that morning it appeared someone had used a key and tried to access my room. At check-in I overheard other guests returning to the front desk complaining they room they were assigned was already occupied and worst they key they were given allowed them access into the room. This hotel was listed as a two star on hotels.com in fact it shouldn't have any stars. And more important there should be a warning that states - Stay at your own risk.
