"20 minutes from Charlotte"
The hotel was a bit weak. The pool is small, but fun. The water in the pool is comfortably warm. The whirlpool water was dirty. The Garden Inn is run or maintained like a Motel from a movie about a depressed middle America town. They did not have towels by the pool side though we requested it several times. The hotel staff were polite but not truly […] accommodating except for Duane, who we met at the beginning of our stay. They also seemed overwhelmed which clearly points to poor overall queue management. A serious look should be taken by the Hilton Group on how to improve quality control in these locations. "Just driving through"
The building was undergoing remodeling. Main lobby was closed off but pool was still accessible. The room was clean enough for our family but could feel outside breeze under AC/Heating unit. The curtains do not close all the way either. We checked in late and the evening staff (front desk) was hospitable. Only wish we had the same staff in the morning. "Remodeling"
Hotel is very nice EXCEPT for the Lobey remodeling. When I reserved the room no mention of the remodeling of the lobey. Wich also included the closing of the pool and hot tub. Not happy about that part. The Room was very clean and no mold to be found in bathroom. Very quiet at all times of the day or night. We didnt take part of the breakfast which […] cost $9.95 extra each person. Very convenient to highways and all shopping next door along with resturants of walking distance. Could use more parking.
