"Disappointed"
I had booked this hotel especially for the use of the Jacuzzi, which happened to be the one thing that did not work in the room. All other Jacuzzi rooms were full so we could not even move to another. Rather than giving us a complimentary night, the hotel just offered a refund, which isn't what I wanted.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room in ill repair. Broken door, other things that just need updating or fixing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was adequate for what I needed for the day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel stay"
The rooms were clean and comfortable although a bit small for a family. The road noise was a bit extreme so if you are looking for a quiet rest, this is not the place for you. Despite the 16 mile distance to Chicago, due to consistently heavy traffic, it was approx. and hour drive into the city so if you are looking to do Chicago attractions, find something […] a bit closer to the city limits. "Uncomfortable"
Beds very uncomfortable and every time you moved the bed made noises. Felt like crumbs in our bed too. One of the lights in our room did not work. TV very fuzzy. Garbage was over flowing in our room very tiny garbage cans.Genuine Expedia guest review
"not far from skokie L train"
We got a room with a king bed & whirlpool at an affordable price. The room was recently remodeled to have current styles & color schemes. However, the paint job was sloppy. The bathroom door (which didn't have a lock on it) also didn't close tightly. The door also had a big chunk out of the top edge. The room had a "pool smell" to it because of the […] whirlpool & no ventilation. There was not enough space for all the stuff they put in the room. There was a chair in the corner, which meant you couldn't open the door fully w/o moving the chair to a different place in the room. The fridge was blocking half the area of the space in front of the sink. The ONE outlet contained the plug for the fridge and hairdryer. If you wanted to plug in the coffee maker, or your own personal items, you had to unplug something. About 1/2 of the TV channels were fuzzy, but not bad. While I don’t have trouble sleeping with noises, we did notice that you could hear people snoring in the next room before we fell asleep. Finally, the heating/cooling unit didn't work quite right. You could get only the a/c to go on if you pushed a/c after the heat button. If the unit cooled it to the temp you set, you had to re-push the heat before you could get cool to work again. This seems like a lot of complaining, but really, it was almost all superficial...nothing that really affected the quality of the room (of course if it had been 90F, it would have been a HOT night). The bed was comfortable & we slept well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay for the price."
This place wasn't too bad considering the price paid. The bed was comfortable, it had a fridge and microwave, and the breakfast was included each morning. The unpleasant part was the TV was old and it got a terrible picture, the parking was cramped, and I found left over seeds and berries on the floor. Considering I just stayed at a Syberis for three […] times the amount and got a smaller TV and bed, this Best Western isn't that bad. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good, but..."
Good location at a good price. Get to breakfast early, because once the food is gone, it's gone. There was a bed-bug problem in a sleep sofa, but they had the exterminator out the morning after I reported it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Matress too soft, so my back still hurt......"
your matress was too soft during I stay at your hotel, my back still hurt....., other than that, was not bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"NW Chicago Morton Grove Best Western"
Was a comfortable stay - the beds were saggy. I wanted to take a bath, there was no stopper in the tub and I had to stuff a wash cloth in the drain whole to hold the water in the tub.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average."
Hotel was fine. High Speed Internet didn't work very well. Computer said I was connected but the web browser just kept spinning it's wheels and pages took forever to load. Hotel had outside entry doors which doesn't bother me but I wouldn't recommend for people who don't like that feature.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Cramped"
This place is ok for a cheap place to sleep. the breakfast area is cramped. It's a motel, not a hotel. The fitness room is a couple of low quality machines. Not horrible, not good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Backside rooms"
Stayed at hotel and was placed in one of the rooms on the backside of the hotel which overlooks the back of the surrounding neighborhood houses. One of the houses was quite loud the entire weekend. Also the parking in the back was quite tight and the guard rail placed to keep the neighbors' fences intact had several dents in it from people backing into […] it often. Would not recommend, especially if placed in one of the rooms in the back. Otherwise was very convenient for us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stinking non-smoking room"
Non smoking room was stinking with smoke, front desk promised to spray but that never happened. It is a good budget place, walking distance to Golf rail station, businesses are closing in the area, so don't expect much from the stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel for daughter's graduation"
Rates were good but strange could not be confirmed on check-in due to booking on-line thru 3rd party. On a very busy street and no option to move away from the main road for a quiter room, but room well insulated. Room design around the bathroom very awkward with the toilet/shower door swinging out into the room, and the location of the toilet and toilet […] paper. Maid service good but did not leave some items (e.g. bath mat) consisently in the room. Continential breakfast good with some variety and simple multi-function coffee, tea, cocoa maker. "Fine for the money"
I've stayed here and at the Super 8, just down the road, and though both exist as low-budget options, I'd go with the Super 8 for the main reason that the rooms are accessed from the inside. The Best Western felt a little cheaper because of the outside door, motel feel. And I felt like they didn't care too much about clearing snow from the stairs and […] landings to the second floor. The reason for staying here was simply location and price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Adequate"
Went there for a Cub game. Easy access to the train to Wrigley Field.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"you get what you paid for"
The hotel is OK. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave, which was very useful to us. There is no elevator, so if you have large bags, you have to carry them to the second floor. Since all the room doors face the outside and the hotel is in a shopping center, we didn't feel extremely safe. overall the rooms are clear, but our non-smoking room smelled […] terrible, like someone smoked there for months. The smell never went away even after trying to air out the room. They didn't have any other available rooms, so we couldn't move. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
