The Westin Tyson's Corner is located in Falls Church, Va. The hotel is 6.5 miles from Marymount University, and less than 12 miles from Arlington National Cemetery, the Pentagon, and Georgetown. The Washington Monument and National Mall are also 12 miles away. Tysons Corner Center, an upscale shopping mall, is less than 1 mile from the hotel.

The hotel was reasonably priced and offered free parking and wifi while I was there. (By the way they explained it, that might not always be the case.) It is in an office park so there is nothing of interest within walking distance. The pool is open from 9-9 on the weekends, which still is not good if one has to work but would like to relax in the water […] in morning or evening. The pool area though opened late during my stay and I had to go to the desk to ask them to open it. When I was finally let in, we saw the person who should have opened the area lounging poolside. "Great hotel engineers, aging amenities"
The AC didn't work, so I called the desk. In minutes the hotel engineers showed up, tested the AC unit, and swapped in a new one. They were courteous and unobtrusive. Otherwise, the amenities were a bit worn. "Not your typical Westin"
All of the staff were exceptional, but this is a very old property and it shows. The hotel is highly susceptible to exterior noise (and I was on the 10th floor) and the room temperature was difficult to regulate despite the digital controls. I was traveling with my dog and the check in was marvelous. They welcomed my dog with open arms. She was the hit of the hotel for the two days we were there. The staff is impeccable, the room in need a minor repairs but was very clean. When we checked in our toilet seat was shifting, we did not complain but it was fixed the next day. Spent 1 night at this older Westin. Arrived during rain storm and the staff was busily repairing leaks in lobby windows. Room was Westin quality which in a word was...very comfortable. "A DUMP - STAY AWAY"
