"refuge in a storm"
The hotel was clean and management exceeded expectations. Got stuck during a recent and unusual ice storm in Salt Lake City. Management made my extra stay very comfortable by opening the breakfast bar after hours, coffee fresh. When it came time leave, the parking lot was a sheet of ice. "Just be cautious"
The hotel itself was fine and comfortable and although a little isolated, it is only a few miles from the town centre. The only concern is the truck fuelling stop just over the road from the front of the hotel, the noise is constant 24 hours. The staff could have dismissed us, but instead went the extra mile to accomodate us and help change our reservation date at no extra cost. This hotel was ok for being one of the better deals in town. It's right next to a truck stop/gas station and compared to other hotel location options in town of similar price range, the area feels safe. Nice view from our room and relatively quiet. This is a hotel that allows smoking, so the common areas smell of smoke...but our room didn't smell bad […] (non-smoker). The breakfast is very basic (pasteries, cereal, hard boiled egg).
