"Great hotel with only one but..."
Great hotel with very efficient and friendly staff. The restaurant and bar were well staffed, well attended and good food/drinks. The room is really comfortable with a different feel than standard hotels - very NY loft look and feel. The room is slightly smaller than normal, however, the 'feel' is fun and your don’t lose any comfort. NOW to the BUT... […] if you are sharing the room with a significant other or... the bathroom layout/door could be an issue. The door is a sliding door that has large gaps between it and the wall as well as an open air plan above the wall. You had best be comfortable knowing that the other person is going to hear and even see pretty much everything going on in the bathroom. Some might not be really thrilled with that. "Great hotel and staff"
We loved this hotel. The courtyard/bar area was wonderful. The staff was always extremely accommodating and friendly. Our only complaints would be that the bathrooms in the rooms offer practically zero privacy. It was so open that I would leave the room when my husband needed some privacy in the restroom. Our other complaint would be that they kick […] everyone out of the courtyard area when the bar/restaurant closes. I can understand this if it is to keep the noise down for other guests but when it is just a few people enjoying the evening it was a tad disappointing. Oh and the elevators are extremely slow. Well it's says DJ at night time for this hotel on there website. So that's Y we booked it. When we get there there's No DJ and ain't had one in a year from what the hotel staff said. I really wanted to book le meridien at the galleria a second time though this website but that was unavailable so we booked this hotel. It was a great location only a little over a mile from in-n-out a few minutes from legacy promenade and fair price. But The walls were super thin so we heard EVERYTHING. It was a nice modern/contemporary feel but I […] would have gone with full size beds instead of twin. That was a horrible choice and the beds were too firm. I was more comfortable on the floor. The location is great. The rooms were cool looking. The toilet was somewhat broken and ran a lot. Also, when we arrived I noticed there was a lot of hair in the shower. Makes me wonder if they really cleaned it. But ah well. Looking past those issues. We had a great stay, the pool was great, a neat hotel. Very modern looking. Didn't eat at the bar, […] it was somewhat expensive. It seems as though they could raise the nightly rate and lower the restaurant cost. All in all a very great stay. WARNING: They put a hold on your credit card, ours was $100 hold, even though we had already paid months back for our reservation on hotels.com. "Very quiet rooms. Very comfy bed. Needs Tweaks."
Cool modern but comfy rooms. Not a good $ value during the week. Not worth that. Specials OK. Rooms are extremely quiet & beds unusually comfy. Very good air & A/C quality for allergy avoidance in TX. Pool - large patio area is very pleasant. Late afternoon with only a very few people outside (heat) and there were no pool towels. Also, area was littered […] with abandoned drinks glasses, towels, towels in the pool, QT/Racetrack drink cups...just stuff that needed picking up. It was very bad at one point. Issue w/ ft. desk repeatedly only programming our key card for 1 day vs. 2 days. Found this hotel while looking for a last-minute place to stay in Dallas. The rooms/building have a unique style well worth the reasonable rate. Overall, I loved staying here. However, I think the they can't decide if they're a night club or a hotel. I left the hotel for dinner and when I came back, one of the entrances was blocked off by parked cars. The one entrance that was open was guarded by a gentleman who checked a list to make sure I was a guest at the hotel (I didn't really appreciate […] this). The front parking spots were blocked off for partygoers/valet so I had to park on the side of the hotel. Seriously?! I think they could cater more towards their guests than the bar patrons!
