Other than some wrappers under the bed the room was really clean. The pool was 24 hours and the breakfast was good, but did not have eggs etc...the kids loved the waffles and cold cereal. The single wide front door is a bit cumbersome for carrying heavy large suitcases or anyone with small children. My room smelled of stale cigarette or cigar smoke even though it was a non-smoking room and I didn't like seeing the maid's cart in the hallway in front of my door at 10am when check out wasn't until 2pm. We lost ALL lighting in the bathroom area late afternoon on a saturday. The front desk person was quite unhelpful (My husband had to go to Lowe's to try and find a bulb, but that wasn't the issue, unfortunately). "easy off the intersrate"
The breakfast was sooo wonderful! The beds were just right the same with the pillows. The first night manager was great , very helpful ,the second nights was lacking she didn't want to have to do anything and it came through loud and clear. But the two things that bothered us the most were,1 the horrible smell coming from the bathroom. It was only in […] the bathroom. The bathroom was clean there was just this rotten egg smell ugg. We called the front desk and she said that they were aware of it and had had several people look at the problem and had some theories on what it might be , but no fixes and then she said that sometimes the smell is in the hallway too. And she was right the next night it was. We just tried to keep the door to the bathroom shut. And the 2nd thing was we were put in the basement,well half basement, when I asked to be moved she said they were booked full. And that was before we smelled the bathroom. but we had had the reservation for three months in advance and we were checking in late at night and didnt want to have to find somewhere else. With the exception of the one night manager and the smell and the basement room,we would stay there again.The pool looked great though we never did have a chance to try it and as I said it was comfortable and clean so all in all a positive experience. "Yappy dogs"

It was an overall good visit - there was a mechanical problem with the toilet in our room that was resolved eventually - the maid service didn't leave a floor towel in the bathroom for the 2nd day of our stay. The towels in the pool area are laughably small. Breakfast bar was good with lots of selections - the pool and hot tub were nice, but the spa […] (sauna) was not working - A fire alarm made Sunday morning a little crazy, especially since the desk clerk didn't have the code to shut it off. I include most of these comments for your benefit - we were happy with our stay overall. I love this hotel but have problems with their internet provider blocking websites. It makes it difficult to do some of my work while I am in town. "Very nice hotel - neighborhood not so much"
The Baymont is a wonderful hotel for the price - very clean, modern, nice rooms, great bed, great service. They have a really nice indoor pool and spa that's open 24 hours, and a hot breakfast buffet (limited but decent) in the mornings. I would very likely stay here again. However, the neighborhood is very dismal. It's basically just a gas station […] corner pretty much removed from town. The only restaurants in walking distance are fast food - McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, and a Mexican place in the same parking lot as the hotel - but no "sit down service" places whatsoever, no sports bar, no lounges - pretty much nothing without driving 4 miles into town.
