Folks were friendly and accomodating. Hotel could certainly use some updating but the beds are comfortable and the location great. The location of the hotel was good, close to the downtown where restaurants and shopping were readily available. Our main problem with the hotel was the doors and door facings were visibly dirty. Smudges and drips of dirt were clearly noticable on the exterior door to our room as well as the bathroom door. An older motel, but is clean! The staff are very pleasant and helpful. I only wished they had an elevator for getting our luggage to and from our room. "One street over from downtown Hyannis"
Hotel was very clean and there are signs that they have and are upgrading. New tiles in the bathroom, new carpet... Great location, walked over 1 block and there was all the shops/JFK museum/duck and bus tours/ and resturaunts. Melody tent is just 1 mile down the road. Check-in was quick and painless. The receptionists were freindly and helpful. Room was comfortable and as described. Location was within a 5 minute walk of the main street (shops, restaurants) of Hyannis and less than 10 from the harbor. "more than reviews left me expecting"
I read the reviews on the site and was skeptical of what I was going to find when I arrived. I was pleasantly surprised as I arrived late evening and the front desk staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and the AC was already on so the room was pleasantly cool and there was plenty of parking in thier private lot. It is an older hotel but they […] seem to be working on updates. I had a private balcony outside my room with 2 chairs it overlooked the pool and parking lot. The beds were firm and comfortable. The bathroom was small but functional. I did not use either pool. The outdoor pool seemed to have short hours as I believed it closed at 6. The breakfast was a good continental breakfast with pastry, bagels, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice and milk. A nice bonus. One item to be aware of is that I don't believe that the hotel had an elevator, not an issue for me but if someone has an issue climbing staris a room on the third floor could be an issue to consider. The one item that I did find to be true from the negative reviews that I read were the doors to the rooms did seem less than secure. They seemed to be hollow doors and being an older hotel used a physical key not a programable key card. The doors did have deadbolts but could only be locked from the inside. The hotel was located just off of Main St and within easy walking distance were shops and restaurants. Overall the hotel met all of my needs and I would go back if I am in Hyannis.
