The Villas of Grand Cypress in Orlando, Fla., is 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) from the Disney® theme parks and within a 10-to-15-minute ride of Universal Studios and SeaWorld. The resort offers scheduled transportation to these attractions. The Orange County Convention Center is 5 miles (8 kilometers) away.
Hotel Features.
This award-winning resort features a 45-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course with premium clubs available for guest use. The course's golf academy offers special instruction for all skill levels. The fantasy swimming area features two heated, lagoon-style swimming pools with two 12-person spa tubs, heated waterfalls and water slides. Fitness facilities are available 24-hours a day and bicycles are available to use free of charge. Babysitting and supervised children activities are available. Hotel guests also enjoy privileges at all Hyatt Regency outlets, including restaurants and Camp Hyatt for children. Babysitting and supervised child care/activities are available for a surcharge. Complimentary shuttles run throughout the hotel's 1,500 acres, and a complimentary shopping center shuttle, as well as a limo or town car service, are available. Premium bedding includes pillowtop mattresses and triple sheeting, and a double-sized sofa bed is included in each room. Private bathrooms come with separate sunken Roman bathtubs and showers with rainfall showerheads. Other bathroom amenities include double sinks, designer toiletries, and bathrobes. Cascade Restaurant - A 35-foot bronze mermaid sculpture with waterfall is the focal point of the Hyatt's Cascade Restaurant. Menu includes soups, salads, seafood, steak, and chicken. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Trellises - Tropical-themed lounge in the Hyatt lobby serves Starbucks coffee each morning and cocktails, wine, and beer later in the day. Open early to late morning, then late afternoon to late evening
On the Rocks - Tucked away under the grotto, this Hyatt poolside bar serves cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks, salads, and sandwiches. Open late morning to dusk.
La Coquina - Exhibition kitchen. Located at Hyatt Regency. Dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Sunday brunch.
Breakfast is served daily in the restaurant from 7 to 11 AM. Room service is available 24 hours.
Golf: Four Jack Nicklaus Signature Design courses include an 18-hole course and three par 36 nine-hole courses. PGA-level instruction is available at the 21-acre Grand Cypress Golf Academy, named one of the Top 25 Golf Schools by Golf Magazine. Golf carts are equipped with GPS technology that illustrates each hole, indicates yardage to the pin and key hazards, keeps score, and offers playing tips.
Tennis: The Grand Cypress Racquet Club has eight Har-Tru and four Deco Turf II tennis courts, daily clinics, and private and semi-private lessons with a tennis pro (surcharge).
Swimming, boating, jogging: A large freeform pool is paired with a spa tub. Jogging/walking paths and an Audubon Walk wind through the scenic grounds. Villa guests enjoy access to the Hyatt's half-acre freeform pool with 12 waterfalls, two waterslides, a children's pool, spa tubs, and an expansive sundeck overlooking the white-sand beach and Lake Windsong; sailboats, paddleboats, and canoes are available for rent.Children's activities: Camp Hyatt provides supervised activities for children 5–12 (surcharge).

"Nice, would stay again for sure!!"
We were traveling as a family of four with two kids, The hotel is set on a gorgeous golf course and the grounds were exquisite. They take great pride in their property and it shows for sure all around. It also has a 24 hour guarded gate which I like for security reasons. During our stay, we stayed in two different rooms. The first room was great and […] comfortable and I was VERY happy with it. Great proximity to the pool and it was very clean. The second room, however, I wasn't pleased with at all. Although it was still clean and everything, the beds were WAY TOOOO SMALL. We changed rooms because the first room only accomodated two guests in a bed and two on a pull out couch. I didnt think that sleeping on a pull out couch was acceptable. They moved our room to one with two double beds and these beds were totally INSUFFICIENT and WAY TOO SMALL for two people to sleep in. Although I loved the first room, they didnt have any of those types of rooms available to switch back to so we had to suffer in staying in the room with two double beds. I wouldnt recommend this type of room. The pool was very nice and the staff was very accomodating and one of the friendliest staffs I have ever come across. VERY friendly and helpful. "Fabulous golf resort"
Our experience started off rocky. Our room wasn't ready on time - it was 6:00 before we got in our room. Then our keys didn't work. The people above us were heavy walkers and loud talkers; and there was no refridgerator. The stay got much better. The scenery was amazing and we always returned to a really clean room. "Convenient seclusion, but no sleep"
This lovely property appeared to be a nice escape from the day-to-day, close to Disney, but removed from the usual crowded hotel zones. In fact, it took us exactly 10 minutes to get from our front door to the EPCOT parking lot. NOTE: Parking is free, but they do charge resort fees which are not included in what you pay to Expedia. The pool and public […] areas were very clean. The pool area would not be especially appealing to children, as this is not a family-focused resort. I believe the room we stayed in, 2052, to be the unused lock-off room and bath of a larger condo. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Too bad I could not sleep! Around midnight, the guest upstairs began pacing the floor like a caged animal, keeping me awake most of the night. Sometime around 6:30 am I called security. Around 7 am we heard the guest leave down the stair that was outside our room. To add an insult to this injury, the shower head was turned so that it sprayed cold water in my face and all over the floor when I turned it on. Was this deliberate on the part of the housekeeping staff? I can't think who else would be responsible. I doubt that I will return, even though I visit Orlando frequently. This might be the perfect resort for guests who want to golf and who don't have children, but ask to stay upstairs, and check that shower head before you turn on the water. It is very disappointing for us to read that you had difficulty sleeping due to the guests in the room above yours. We are also disappointed to read that you experienced an incident with the shower head being turned outward. We have spoken with our Executive Housekeeper to make sure all of our housekeeping staff are checking to make sure the shower heads are facing the correct direction while cleaning the bathrooms. The room was very nice and comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. The view was wonderful. Grounds were beautiful. Only thing wrong was that our bathroom had a faulty shower head. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. The room was a little disappointing as it did not look like the picture. It did not have the step up to the bed area and the room could have used a little updating. The bathroom was big and spaceous! Overall the room was very clean which I appreciate more than the updating. The hotel service was very good. […] Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Being able to use both the Cypress and the Hyatt's pool and other amenities was double the fun! The main thing I was very disappointed with was the transportation. Without a car, it was not easy to go out to dinner and site see. The cab fare was outrageous and other means was not convenient either. The shuttles to and from the Disney theme parks were nice but limiting in the fact you could only go 3 times in the morning. If you wanted to GO in the afternoon or evening, you had to find another way. The bus only came back in the p.m. Not a very flexable schedule. Plus, allow plenty of time to catch a shuttle bus from park to park. We missed the bus several times due to heavy traffic from a park as we tried to get to Magic Kingdom (the hub). The Club Suite was very spacious and had a very warming decor. The best part was that they allow pets and the suite has immediate outdoor access.
