During check-in the hotel rep seemed to want to make conversation. In so doing she asked for Driver's License in addition to the credit card that had prepaid for the reservation. From that license she stated aloud our entire home address. There were other guests checking in at the small desk and others in the lobby nearby. We were most upset that she […] had given out our home address (a local address). The next morning we went to the buffet which was included in our room rate. The waitress brought us a bill. When we said it was included she asked for the voucher we had gotten at check-in. The agent who gave out our address did not give us a voucher. Checked in late on a Friday. Parking has a fee and we chose to self-park as there were plenty of spots available in the lot. The valet staff and the girl at the front desk were all extremely nice. Got to our room and it was very nice. Comfortable bed. In the standard room there is a microwave and wetbar/sink but no mini-fridge which we didn't realize. […] The only other thing was there was a wash cloth left in the shower. Great hotel. The staff are amazing but the location and neighborhood are to be desired. Tvs and coffee machines could use some updating and I would order in instead of get room service. But as I said before the staff are amazing and very accommodating.

This was an alternate selection to the conference hotel which was much higher priced BUT in downtown & next to Lake Eola. The location is right next to the highway AND an exit AND the side roads leading to downtown. There WILL be road noise & in the first room we had more than the second one which wasn't as close to I-4. We had to change rooms because […] the door to our first room would NOT LOCK. We tried several times & finally they moved us to another room. Not sure the new room was ready since I saw a clearly used washcloth on the shower curtain rod. There were long hairs on the floor that were not mine. The air conditioner in the new room didn't seem to work as well - we were warm all night. However on the second night it seemed to work better. The area is on the outskirts of downtown & not really walking friendly. You are close to Amway but not sure I would walk around that area. Self parking is gated & small but you pay $15 per day for it which is comparable to other hotels in the area as well as parking garages nearby. Room had a microwave & sink but NO fridge. Vending is on the 2nd floor - not much there either. I needed a toothbrush, not a one in the machines. Overall for the price I should have paid the extra to go to the conference hotel, which lowered the price just before the event. Just depends on your needs - this room had 2 queen beds which I prefer to 2 full beds which are too small for our family. Read more

I think having ice machines on floor other than 2nd would be helpful . My room was not cleaned one of the nights I had stayed although door was clearly marked They could enter was displeased with that . Quality of service was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room as nice, although it did need a thorough hoover. The bed was amazingly comfortable! Complimentary Shuttle bus was a great added extra. Would recommend and probably stay there again.

Was in town for a concert at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center. Location was perfect, as well as close to the downtown area. Only "downfall" of hotel was only 1 check-in desk was open and there was a lengthy wait, as well as confusion/chaos with the shuttle that evening, as it was the same night as a basketball game.

2 complaints-the hot tub didn't work and when we requested someone to look at it, they never did. We waited over 1.5 hours for the courtesy van which never came. We had to get a taxi. Don't commit to picking up guests if you can't accomodate. Other than that the Hotel was great.

Cleanliness was okay except for a top to some kind of spray bottle was under the bed, a hair pin was under the sofa cushion and there was hair on our bathroom floor. Very pleasantly surprised. Spacious room offered full sectional couch in addition to large bed. Plenty of room to move around. Quiet, clean, and the staff was super friendly. Location was fabulous close to everything (Amway, restaurants, downtown). I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was nice. No big complaints. The staff was friendly upon check it. Just be advised that if you are parking, there is a $8 fee per car over night, which is not a problem. Also be aware that for each car you park they apply a $50 pending charge to your card. Since we parked three cars, a total of $18, there was $150 on hold on my credit card. […] This is a little rediculous. I stayed on a Saturday night and today is tues and it still has not cleared. This could be because of my bank, but seriously, $150 is belong put on hold for a $18 parking charge???!!! I am a little upset about this. I booked my hotel through Expedia, and breadfast was included. I checked in and went to the room. The air conditioner was quite loud and right next to the bed, but was able to sleep. The next morning went down to breakfast, and started to order. The included breakfast required a vocher, which I did not get at check in. The check in person was supposed […] to give it to me. So I had to call the manager to get the OK to have the included breakfast. This was a mistake on the part of the check in person. The manager said I needed to bring my reservaton conformation to show that the breakfast was included. I went to the front desk and had the girl check my room number, and it was listed as included right there. So easy and simple. In the description of the breakfast on Expedia, it said full breakfast included, but there was only one breakfast you could get. This was very misleading. Other hotels you could order what you want. Location is a bit off the beaten path for walking to things but the shuttle gets you to where you need to go very well. Found the staff attentive. One saw me in lobby and made a point to give me additional info on an earlier question another took the time to try and track down a cell charger since I forgot mine.
