International Drive's largest claim to fame is the Universal Orlando Resort, home to two theme parks — Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios; the water park, Wet 'n Wild; and the entertainment area, CityWalk. "More run-down and older than pictures indicate"
Based on the photos online, you would think the hotel is new and at least a 4-star rating. Maybe it was because we were in Building 3, but the hotel and room looked to be no better than a roadside motel. It was furnished with a kitchenette, but there wasn't even glasses/cups in the bathroom! Nor was there any lotions, just ONE lone bottle of shampoo/conditioner. […] The sheets were thin and yellowish, and the pillows were flat. This was also the first place I've ever stayed (and I've traveled A LOT!) where they only clean the room once every 3 days, so staying there for 2 nights, you won't get fresh towels, a made bed, etc. It definitely wasn't worth the price we paid, especially seeing that we could've paid less right around the corner at an Econolodge or Travelodge. It also took longer to check in than normal, and when we had a problem with a movie in the room, the front desk person was not helpful and gave us false information about being able to rewind, replay, etc. However, she did send a maintenance guy that was friendly and helpful. Overall, I can not recommend this place, especially if there are so many other options. "The worst room I've ever stayed in."
The service guest and hotel accomodations were really good. The room we stayed in was horribly maintained. The bed springs were sticking out the sides and was extremely painful to lay on. I am 5 months pregnant and the hotel had to provide a bed topper, because it was that painful to lay on the bed longer than 15 minutes. The curtains had wholes in […] them on the back side from being worn out and the couch in the room was completely worn out and extremely dirty. This was the executive suite!! It was the worst suite I have ever stayed in! Also the website showed breakfast included when I booked the hotel, but the grab and go bag that we had to share was horrible. This was not breakfast. The pictures are much better than the reality. My husband and I were really disappointed in regards to the cleanliness of the carpets in building 1's hallways. But we did have a wonderful view of a lake from our room, simply gorgeous specially at night. "Needs major updating"
My husband and I came from Tampa to celebrate his birthday wknd in Orlando. The hotel is conveniently located to all the parks. We loved that the pool and hot tub were open 24 hours and there was a balcony (you don't see balconies at newer hotels much). The staff was super, but the hotel itself needs serious updating. It felt like we walked back into […] the 1970's! The kitchenette appliances had to be at least 20 yrs old. The fridge wasn't cold enough. The microwave door had a crack in it and old dial type knobs. Good thing we didn't plan on cooking! The bedspread was old and faded and even had a couple holes in it. Bed was hard. When you flushed the toilet it sounded like Niagara Falls and must've used 10 gallons per flush. TV was the old type as well, no dvd player, no pen (but they wanted you to fill out satisfaction survey, would have loved to if there was a pen!). "Dont plan on sleeping"
Hotel hasn't been updated since the 90's and the AC is so loud when it kicks on that you can't sleep. When I told the office about it and asked to move to another room they said that they are all that way. Also it says that the rooms are smoke free but at one time they weren't and you can still smell the smoke. "Enclave Hotel & Suites in Orlando"
Nice place within walking distance of Universal Resorts and Wet 'n Wild. Great room for the rate relative to other places. Our suite included a kitchenette and couch with a pull out bed. Since we decided to travel to Orlando pretty late, we had very few choices of Hotels. We end up booking this one at a premium price. The hotel was in a good location. Staff was friendly. Our air conditioner stopped working and maintenance was quick to fix it. The bed was uncomfortable. The room felt dirty to me. "Hotel Orlando"
This was realy cheap. So you get what you pay for. The room is big and it is ok. But there is a strange smell in the hallway. We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were realy nice and helpful! "Good hotel to stay in"
We stayed here for one week and found the Enclave a great place to stay. It is in a good location on I Drive with free buses to Universal, a suttle to Disney and only a walk to Wet n Wild. The hotel can help you with anything you need for your stay. I do conside this hotel a bit dated but great value for what we paid. We had a kitchen with our roomm […] which was great for breabfast as the hotle provides you with a little bag for breakfast which isn't great but I definitely would not go for the ful breakfast; use the kitchen. As for the location, it is good just off I Drive but I do consider this the tacky area and down towards Pointe Orlndo is a lot nicer esp at night for food and entertainmnet. "Enclave. Perto de tudo e longe do trânsito."
Já fiquei nesse hotel outras vezes. Os quartos são amplos e completos, mas ao contrário de outros hotéis americanos, não há como acomodar 4 pessoas (no máximo um casal e uma criança). O atendimento é muito bom e a localização é a melhor possível. Pode-se chegar e sair pela Carrier St e Universal Dr sem pegar o trânsito pesado da International Drive. […] Mas as atrações estão todas perto: Fica em frente ao Pirate's e a um Friday's e a alguns passos do Fun Spot e de tudo de bom (e de ruim) que existe na International Drive. A piscina aquecida e a jacuzzi funcionam 24 horas (coisa rara por lá!!!). Tem também um mini mercado e um Pizza Hut que funcionam até tarde. O café da manhã continental (incluido) vem em um saquinho e não é lá essas coisas, mas forra o estômago até a hora do almoço...
