Although Orlando is best known as a place for play, the city’s downtown reflects the area’s vibrant economy. Skyscrapers rise along Lake Eola, the site of a popular Sunday market. West of the Central Business District, the Orlando Magic holds court at the Amway Arena, while the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre hosts major concerts. The Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium is nearby.

"Real disappointment"
This hotel just did not meet my expectations from the first minute to the last. This was kind of a splurge for us and we left feeling like we didn't get the experience we hoped for at this price. First, we couldn't check into our room until after 4pm and did not get the king size bed I requested in the reservation. Because there were private events […] starting at 5pm in the pool area, we didn't get any pool time. That was generally ok, because a peek at the pool left me pretty unimpressed. It is small, pretty shady, and lacked a bar. The walls are super thin, so we were subjected to over an hour of really loud and obnoxious lovemaking from the couple next door. Between their conversation and other ruckus, and the too small bed, we got very little sleep. There was no newspaper at our door in the morning, no invoice on our final day. Despite being gone all afternoon with the "please make up room" tag on door, no one came to clean our room. It seemed like rooms were still being cleaned after 6pm, at which point we didn't want anyone bothering us. Finally, after we checked out, I was left with the bags while my husband got the car, and there was no doorman to help me with my suitcases. So, in total, it was a waste of money. We probably would have had a better experience at a cheaper hotel. Oh, and no free internet! Not even wireless you can pay for in the room. Even that comes free at Super 8! "one out of two isn't bad"
We stayed here for our wedding night, and had a great/short experience, and decided to go back for another special occasion. This time we went for the Concierge Level. First checked in, and found the mini bar fridge wasn't working, second went to the concierge room for "happy hour", and found you had to pay for everything except water, a sprite, and […] a unstocked finger food bar. Upon check out we were charged for water and food that we never got out of the mini bar (happened the first time as well) Found on check out that the hotel billed the room a second time (after being booked through Hotels.com). I was told 3-5 business days to rectify this little mistake, not too bad if it had been applied to a credit card.... Overall the hotel is impressive, though too many billing mistakes, bad keep up of facility, and extremely overpriced (though this was expected) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Grand Bohemian Downtown Orlando Florida"
Arrived on a Saturday evening. Valet and lobby full of the Orlando party crowd. Room service poor. Coffee was cold. A second pot arrived cold. Part of order was missing and service prepared for one person when two entrees were ordered. Bed, linens, and pillows were great. Room was very nice but I would probably stay at the Waldorf next time for about […] the same price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
