The stately Ritz-Carlton Orlando (Fla.) rests on a 500-acre oasis embedded with lush tropical gardens and Shingle Creek, the headwaters to the Florida Everglades. The resort is two miles from SeaWorld, within four miles of the Orange County Convention Center and seven miles from Universal Orlando and Mall at Millennia. Complimentary scheduled transportation is offered to the local theme parks including the Walt Disney World® Resort. Orlando International Airport are 10 miles away.
Hotel Features.
Beveled ceilings, thriving plants, large easy chairs and regal columns greet guests as they enter the hotel lobby. Guests are treated to a Greg Norman-designed 18- hole championship golf course, three lighted tennis courts, a fitness center, jogging trails and a life-size chess board. Large fish fountains send a steady stream of water into the outdoor heated pool, which is accented by blue-and-white striped lounge chairs. Guests can relax in the spa tub or float along the Lazy River. The 40,000-square-foot spa features signature citrus treatments, including the Tuscan Citrus Cure. Vitale, the spa café, features smoothies and mouthwatering salads. Additional dining options include Norman's, which serves New World cuisine, a steakhouse, golf clubhouse restaurant and poolside bar. Valet parking is available.
The Ritz-Carlton Orlando offers more than 147,000 square feet of meeting space, including three ballrooms and outdoor function space. For younger guests, the Ritz Kids program features activities including dive-in movie pool parties. This hotel welcomes small pets.

Daily housekeeping, 24-hour room service and evening turndown service are available. The Vineyard Grill - Indoor and outdoor dining is offered at this restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is buffet or à la carte. Lunch includes entrée salads, sandwiches, chicken, and fish. Steaks are the dinner specialty, with offerings such as prime rib and filets. Sunday brunch.
NORMAN'S - Fine-dining restaurant. Chef favorites include Crispy Shrimp, Key West Yellowtail, and lobster. Dinner only.
Fairways Pub - Offering a panoramic view of the 18th fairway, this restaurant/bar located at the golf clubhouse serves steaks, sandwiches, salads, and seafood. Open mid-morning till dusk. Lunch only.
The Lobby Lounge - Great views of the outdoor pool. Open late morning till midnight. Cocktails, light appetizers, and afternoon tea, including Peter Rabbit tea for youngsters.
Blue - Poolside restaurant and bar serving lunch daily. Open late morning until dusk (weather permitting).
Vitale - Located in The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Vitale offers healthy choices for lunch, including smoothies, salads, and power drinks.
This resort offers an 18-hole, par-72, Greg Norman-designed golf course. An outdoor splash pool, spa tub, children's pool, jogging path, and three lighted tennis courts are also on-site. A fitness center is located in the day spa and includes machines, free weights, and classes. Supervised childcare activities such as pool parties and volleyball games are available for a fee. Eco-tours and fly fishing are available on site.
Guests also enjoy complimentary access to the large lazy river pool located at the neighboring JW Marriott. Accessible via walkways, the popular pool winds under waterfalls and through caves.

"Escape from Sandy"
My boyfriend and I left NYC in the madness of Hurricane Sandy and decided to take a weekend trip to Orlando to relax and have some electricity and water for the week. The Ritz was the perfect escape from it all. "Very nice but ............"
I thought the service in the hotel was great overall. This was a trip for my wife and I and some friends visiting us. While I found most aspects of the hotel to be very pleasant there were a few shocks. I knew there was a fee to park but $18 per day plus tax is a bit steep. $40 for a piece of steak and then a further $11 for mashed potatoes and the […] same for a salad was shocking. $7 for Jello and $4 for a snickers bar, c'mon now that's just rediculous. I never checked out the prices for the mini-bar in the in room refrigerator but I know it would have been shocking. At checkout we received a bill for room service (which we never used) for a pot of coffee delivered to the room, $16.97, call it $17.00 for coffee, really? We questioned it with the lady at checkout who got us a copy of the receipt and it was evident that the signature was not mine. On further checking it appeared that it had been misfiled as the numbers on the ticket was the same number as our room but in different order. We stayed here for my boyfriend's birthday and everything was amazing. They printed customized birthday menus in the hotel restaurant, sent cupcakes with candles to our room, and upgraded us to a huge suite at a rate well below the rack rate. The spa is FANTASTIC. While at least a dozen other cars were requested and delivered, upon inquiring we were told our valet had our keys and could not be located. For the price I expected it to be superior. I felt the dining room was not up to par - the food was luke warm when served and although they took our dinners back (Norman dining room) and compensated by bringing appetizers which we did not ask for or expect - the dinners were then brought back warmer. We went there to golf in luxury. The golf course is well maintained but in our view not memorable enough to justify the price. Staff forgetful breakfast orders wrong twice. When we were leaving our golf clubs were missing. Lucky we had left enough time to catch our flight.
