Nickelodeon Suites features two water parks: The Lagoon Pool, anchored by a four-story water tower with water slides, flumes, and a 400-gallon dump tank; and the giant Oasis Pool, with water slides, flumes, an interactive water tower, and cabanas. Guests enjoy access to the water park, bus shuttle to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom®, Epcot®, Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom®. Wi-Fi in guest suites and public areas, unlimited local telephone calls, and parking for one vehicle (all included in the resort fee). Other highlights include The 4-D Experience, poolside “Slime” parties, a kids' spa, the Nick Workshop, and a family-friendly restaurant. Kids were very excited to stay here and get slimed. The room set up worked well for our family. Would have been better if there were drawers in the kid's room but we managed. Had to call housekeeping to clean our room. We were quite disapointed to return after a day Hollywood Studios at 5 pm to an unmade up room. "Decent alternative to high priced disney"
If you are looking for a less expensive place to stay that really finds ways to entertain kids, you might try Nickelodeon resorts. Our room was clean and spacious enough for a family of 4. While the slides at one of the pools was closed, it was never a problem as the other pool (Oasis) also with slides was open. They had fun free events like getting […] slimed and meeting the TMNT that we took advantage of. There is a food court, a convenience store and a free bus that shuttles to and from Disney and Universal. Of course this is not a 5 star resort and the beds and linens reflect that. The kids beds have plastic mattress protectors on them and the other furniture is also made to withstand kids. But, we found this resort to be a less expensive option to Disney and left happy with our decision to stay here. The hotel is comfortable but needs maintanence. No room service after 8 pm . No in room breakfast. Front desk is helpful but understaffed so don't expect much. No one tries to make you feel special . It's just a comfortable hotel with some water activities. Management needs to address the issues. Do not buy universal tickets from BOB near the restaurant […] as he jacks up the price and misguides tourists selling high fare tickets . Transportation is poor. Limited seats on buses. Passes are needed to get on the bus and no one tells you that it needs to be purchased in advance. No additional buses even on busy holidays. "Good hotel, but some negatives"
The hotel was almost completely empty when we were there, at least through the week. The one morning we went down and ate breakfast in the "mall" area. For the price of the "buffet" I was not impressed. And while I had parked my stroller next to the table where my family was sitting, we were very rudely told by a staff member that we were in the way […] of her cleaning tables and would HAVE to move. In fact she moved us herself. Mind you we were the only ones down there, so there were no other tables to clean. For the cost of the food in the "mall" area I was not impressed. The character breakfast was very expensive, I thought, and there were only 4 characters present when we were there. We didn't get to experience the pool areas as we were busy at the Disney Parks all day. I was impressed at the pool area and how it was specifically designed for the kids and even the younger kids. When we arrived at the hotel our rooms were not ready yet and we didn't arrive until 6pm, so we were upgraded/moved into a 3 bedroom suite. It was nice, but had a musty/wet smell to it. Also with a 3 bedroom suite you would expect to have enough towel and wash cloths for the number of people that could be accommodated in the suite. This was not the case and we had to call down to the front desk and leave notes for housekeeping that we needed wash cloths and towels. Other than those negatives it was a good experience. We took our 6 year old son for Thanksgiving. He loved pretty much every moment of it. The room was VERY small-king kids suite. Not sure how anyone would fit more than 3 people in it. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. There are 3 full sized drawers in the bedroom for adults and only 2 nightstand sized drawers in the child’s room. Only one closet so […] pretty much NO storage. The couch/loveseat sunk in the middle. There was only one other chair in the living area. No coffee table which is good since it was a small room. All 3 TV’s carried different channels- I never figured that out and got poor reception. They came and cleaned/made the beds every day except the next to last which was nice. The staff was friendly at all times. Guest Services was kind of a jip. I said I wanted to do something they talked me into going to a timeshare preview at the Sheraton for discounted Sea World tickets. I later found that other families received tickets to say Legoland completely free for the same preview but that's my fault I guess. The theme breakfast buffet was expensive but good enough my son really enjoyed himself. The regular buffet while less expensive was not good at all. The pizza was good. The pool was heated and enjoyed by all. My husband even ended up with a pie in his face during one of the Double Dare games on Sunday. The place overall is fine. Room was slightly smaller then I had originally believed it would be. Kitchenette was only a mini fridge and a microwave. Not a true suite. Staff at the hotel was great. They were very pleasant and accomodating. The ammenities are all great. The selection of restaurants at the hotel are not very accomodating. It has either breakfast and dinner buffets (not open during lunch) or Subway and pizza are your only other choices. The room DOES NOT get vacuumed EVER!!! The floors were very dirty. […] They do not change the sheets during your stay. We asked them to come to our room and change them and vacuum. When she got out the vacuum it was duct taped in multiple areas and the prongs were missing on the cord so they were not able to vacuum.
