Located on Orlando's popular International Drive, this hotel is across the street from the Wet 'n Wild water park. Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and CityWalk's restaurants and nightclubs are all about a mile from the Metropolitan Express. Downtown Disney® area is 8 miles away.

International Drive's largest claim to fame is the Universal Orlando Resort, home to two theme parks — Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios; the water park, Wet 'n Wild; and the entertainment area, CityWalk. The I-Ride trolley (really a bus) stops frequently along the street. At the north end of International Drive are two shopping meccas: Prime Outlets-Orlando and The Mall at Millenia.

"nothing special"
I was looking for somewhere to sleep close to Universal after a Mardi Gras concert...the location is great! "Worst hotel ever"
The staff there was really rude to me. There was no wifi in the rooms and room smelled awful. There was a hair in the shower that wasn't mine. It was one of my worst hotel experience ever. Upon researching a hotel close to where I needed to be for my business trip, I found that this hotel was less than three miles away from my final destination. I was attracted by the pricing, the location (directly across from Wet n Wild), and the beautiful pictures that were posted online. However, upon my arrival I was very unhappy about the appearance […] of the hotel and the staff was not very friendly and didn't even have that warm welcome smile I was hoping for. While looking for my room (which they didn't direct me to properly), the hall ways had a moldy stench filled with cigarette buds, the walls can certainly take a coat of fresh paint, NO ELEVATORS, and the building's canopy was falling apart (I prayed sooo hard that it wouldn't fall on me, every time I exited the back door to get to my car). On the other hand, I will say that once I entered my room, I was at peace. My room was well kept, clean, cozy, included hygienic items I needed and also included a fridge, good size television, and an iron. The continental breakfast tasted very stale; as if the bagels where recycled. Overall, I would say that some maintenance work is needed, and a little hospitality training for the staff. I wouldn't want to pay full list price, but for the great promo rate in March, this hotel was tops. I booked 3 nights, afraid to commit more without seeing it. "Disappointing and underwhelming."
Our room was extremely low class, pretty much on the order of a roadside motel in Alabama. The furniture was old. The mattresses were sagging secondhand mattress from Marriott. The first thing we saw when we went in was a big iron burn in the middle of the carpet. The towels were thin and threadbare with very meager amenities. The walls were so thin that people sitting outside our window sounded like they were inside our room. The next morning we arose early, ready to leave. I figured we would check out the "free breakfast" near the pool. I was looking forward to some nice hot oatmeal, waffles, hash browns, eggs, perhaps some breakfast meats. What breakfast? It was a doggone continental breakfast complete with danishes and coffee, oh yeah, and toast. In summary, we were attracted to the price, but we could have done better even for that price.
