The location was great. Very close to the highway and if you want to go to Universal Studio you can almost walk if you don't mind Orlando's weather. The beds were a bit uncomfortable but not too bad. Pros: Staff was very friendly. Room clean. Didn't hear noise from other rooms or the hallway. Con: Latch lock on door was broken; no ice machine on 2nd floor - even tho there is a sign indicating there is one on that floor. Decent price. "Plain and simple, good pool"
Stayed for 2 nights. Room was very basic, which was expected. Everything was clean. Room had 2 beds, nightstands, table with 2 chairs, no sofa/love-seat, but had a microwave and mini-fridge. Coffeemaker was missing the glass bowl, but we don't drink coffee. Had no towels the second day after the room was cleaned. Had to let cleaning staff know, waited […] for 4 hours, called again, got them at 10:30PM. Hotel needs updated but was good for the price rate that we paid. We only were there to sleep - busy the rest of time. "Staff needs training..."
when we arrived the manager on duty checked us in..we had a huge language barrier...he pulled up our reservation and saw only the first night booked which we had just that day booked, when we asked about the other 2 days he said he couldn't find them so we would have to check out the next day and then check back in...after going back and forth we finally […] obtained a room. We would not have to check out and i again and he found our other reservation. The hotel is in a perfect spot you can walk anywhere, and food and other stores rightnext to it,Waterpark across the street. That is where the good part ends..our roomfor the price we didn't expect luxury, but i questioned the cleanliness...we found socks from past guests by our bed, and the shower curtain had past guest make-up on it. We returned from a day at the park to find our room door ajar, the Maid had been to our room and beds were made up but no clean towels, no garbage emptied, etc. Our biggest concern was the door being open, we called and let the front desk know about all of this, they said they would leave a note for their manager. The bathroom doorknob was falling off so my husband took out his swiss knife and fixed that for them. The room was nice. One sad note, this hotel lets anyone park in ther Handicap spaces. I noted one car parked in the handicap space, no placard or handicap plate. I informed the front desk and they informed me there was nothing they could do, and I was welcomed to call the police. I informed them that this was their hotel and not mine. Well, in the morning […] the car was still there and the hotel did not take any responsibility nor did they inform the police. Too bad for someone deserving of that handicap parking space. Great location, walking distance to lots of restaraunts, Titanic museum, and right across the street from the water park. Room was fine, clean, no smells other than cleaner which I didn't mind. "Needs restoration"
The hotel staff are not eager to help with problems. My dad had a problem with the A/C in his room and the man working the desk cut him off every time he tried to explain the problem. He was then moved to a new room where the bathroom light didn't work. The pillows were frumpy and the beds are defiantly in need of some new mattresses. The carpets were […] dingy and the pool area was being re-done so it had caution tape around the entire area. There was a restaurant attached to the hotel that offered a breakfast buffet for about $4.00 that was hard to beat. The hotel is in a central location to shops, stores, restaurants, and recreation. It's not too bad just don't go by the room pictures because you will be disappointed. I did check for bed bugs as well as other bugs and did not locate any.
