Holiday Inn Express Lake Buena Vista

There is an abandoned hotel next door, for a start. It just made me feel uneasy, although the surrounding area is much better than any hotel on I-92. While we were only staying for a night, we were disappointed to find the rug coming apart from the wall. Also, the bathroom looked messy and the bed looked "sat on"... For the same amount of money, we […] could have stayed at a value Disney hotel and at least saved $14 by taking Disney transportation to the parks. The free continental breakfast was the worst we have ever had at any other Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express. We wouldn't complain about the furniture not matching, but the rusty bathtub and musty smell sent our experience downhill. For the price, stay at Pop Century or similar at Disney... If your an adult couple traveling alone, both options will still be surrounded by lots and lots of children... but at least at the latter you have that Disney customer service experience. Read more

Not a good hotel for a family of 5 or more. The room is so small and need more tlc. The pool is so small, it is deceiving in pictures. While our rooms A/C units worked well, the hall ways had NO A/C. We were told they were waiting for a part to repair the unit. The pool was GROSS and broken. I would not let my grand daughter into the oil slicked, green pool. The breakfast was quite nice, lots of food, and drinks. The staff was very helpful and worked hard. OMG we got a room by the elevator and it was awful after 2 hrs if listening to it go up and down we called the front desk. They have no ear plugs to offer and when asked if there was another room to move to they said they would need to check and call us back. After about 10 min they did call w a new room but seriously this is a problem...no apology […] about the inconvenience and they don't even have ear plugs to offer guests when obviously this is a huge issue for people. Not a good stay. First room had someone already in it (that’s pretty embarrassing!). Second room had a musty smell. Roof leaks have left the hotel scarred (don’t care enough to repair the damaged ceiling?). Our bathroom had issues; broken sink stopper, toilet runs unless you jiggle the handle. The hotel experience was ok, but I wouldn't stay there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. If service and cleanliness isn't important, then this may be a place for you. I have 2 young kids that want milk when they wake up and before going to bed. One reason I chose this hotel was because it has a refrigerator and a microwave in the rooms. The […] refrigerator didn't work. I called about it and they said they would send mainentance. Well, maintenance never arrived during the 4 days we were there. The room was cleaned once out of our 3 nights there. I had to call twice for towels and wash cloths. After waiting in my room, I had to wait in the lobby to get wash cloths because they didn't being them. I will not stay there again nor would I recommend them to anyone. We booked this hotel, expecting just a cheap place to stay in. I was very excited to see that it included a free breakfast, internet, and a gym and store on grounds. The hotel room included a balcony located directly next to a large palm tree that made the room very dark, even during daylight. It was also lacking outlets - we had to unplug everything […] in order to use an outlet to charge our phones after a day in the park. The "gym" was simply two treadmills and two broken bicycles, and the free breakfast was decent at best, even though there was no fruit on Monday morning. The hotel shop was open at very odd hours, and was very overpriced compared to the convenience store that was a 5 minute walk away. There was one vending machine on the property, so we had to stock up on water and food at an outside place, or pay $2.50 per bottle in the hotel. Above all, the biggest issue with the hotel was the lack of a shuttle to Disney. The hotel is about 4 miles from the park entrance, yet we had to find our own transportation to get to Disney. There are countless hotels nearby - absolutely nothing about this place makes it a better deal than the rest of them. To do it all over again, I would have spent a little bit more per night for a better place. Read more

IN general the hotel was fine. It is old so the wear and tear is showing. The room would be fine for a quick stay -overnight or two and you spent most of your time elsewear. Ice machine on our floor was not working. Had to go to other floors for ice and found those machines did not work either. I believe the one on the third floor worked. Hot tub was not being serviced -i felt the water and it was perfect and I would have liked to go in but it was filthy. Sand and things in the water , plus children with colds were in and out of it some days. Towels are very small at the pool. Bring one from the room. Bathroom facilities outside by the pool and just inside by the pool and breakfast area were great. Lots of room and updated. Bathrooms in the room -wore down and water pressure not great. Balcony -there was really no point -no view and was blocked away when you sat down. When in Orlando -I found a balcony is not neceessary. Being the Hoilday inn I exspected more quailty out of the hotel. This hotel is in need of work..The ice machines didnt work on each floor, and everyone was at the desk asking for ice. We stayed here 5 years ago and the hotel has been recently renovated. It was great--clean comfortable rooms, heated pool, decent breakfast, lobby store with reasonable prices, convenient location. Our most recent stay was somewhat disappointing. The rooms are run down and musty smelling, the staff wasn't very friendly and we had two maintenance issues, […] one of which was never solved. One took an entire day to fix and they never offered to give us another room instead. We had one room whose balcony door wouldn't lock (we stayed two times within 12 days). The pool heater and hottub were broken the entire time we were there so they were ice cold. Our room overlooked another hotel that was completely abandoned, boarded up and full of broken windows. It was a very creepy feeling. The breakfast was good and the store is still there, but open weird hours. We stayed at two other hotels during our trip and both were much better hotels at the same or better price. We won't be staying here again. Read more

I have stayed in other hotels for the same price and not had any of the two main issues that I had with this hotel. First, the blankets and comforters were extremely dirty. Second, the breakfast was extremely disappointing. I did not expect a 4 or 5 star meal, but I was told that there would be bacon and sausage! I am not an overweight person, but I do enjoy breakfast and that ammenity was one of the primary reasons that we chose that hotel. It is wonderfully located to Disney. With so many other hotels in the area in the same price range, I will not stay at this one again. There were no towels at the pool. We waited for some to come but eventually had to walk through the lobby wet and request them ourselves. Hallways and elevator were hot (no a/c), elevator was not working properly, large pot holes in the main entry, the […] ice machine on our floor was not working and when we reported it we were told, "well, there's one on each floor". Stayed here on a last minute mid week trip to Disney. A three day stay, the elevator was broken two of them. Toilet didn't flush, outlets didn't work. The Hotel it's self is in a good location to all the parks. That's really all it has going for it! Our room was every dirty. They changed rooms for us but it was not much better. Hotel was run down, the elevator was slow never felt like it was working right. The neighborhood was close to downtown disney. The hotel next to it was closed and broken into. the breakfast was good but never chaged the week we were there.

The consierge attendant could not give me accurate directions to my conference site in the Orlando area. The "Holiday Inn Express" sign was not illuminated any of the dark hours during my stay even though I reported it to the front desk person on two occasions. The air conditioning in the room did not cool the room adequately.

Slitet hotell i en omgivning som verkar vara helt övergiven. Nästan som spökhus runt omkring. Dock ligger det hyfsat nära parkerna och downtown disney. När man bad om hjälp med något så försökte de istället sälja på sällskapet biljetter till Disney eller andra ställen. Frukosten var inget att hurra för.

Otrevlig personal med helt avsaknad för service. De två första nätterna hade vi inget vatten i duschen , trots detta fick vi betala fullt pris. I övrigt var hotellet fint, stora rum med bra sängar. Mycket fint poolområde. Frukosten var ok.
