Located on International Drive, the 42-acre Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive stands 1.6 kilometers (1 mile) from the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Wet 'n Wild water park is located less than 1 kilometer (a half-mile) away.
Resort Features.
This secluded resort is surrounded by landscaped grounds laced with ponds, fountains, and gardens. Gatorville poolside bar serves specialty cocktails and light fare. Scream's Ice Cream Parlor features hand-dipped cones, malts, milkshakes, and sundaes. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby for a fee. A complimentary, 24-hour fitness center houses cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, yoga balls, and free weights. The health club contains a sauna and steam rooms, and offers massage treatments for a fee. Three year-round outdoor pools including one children's pool, and two spa tubs are on site. Children's amenities include pool games, a playground, and seasonal fun such as Easter-egg hunts.

This 2-story property includes exterior-corridor rooms without balconies and interior-corridor rooms with balconies. Beds feature 250-thread count sheets, and sea-green accent pillows and throws. Florida Fun Suites include bunk beds and children's play tables. Bathrooms are stocked with Bath & Body Works toiletries. Wolfgang Puck coffeemakers are included in all accommodations. "Construction Purgatory"
So, they are apparently doing major construction on this property. A lot of the parking was blocked off so I had to find parking very far from my actual room. I was only going to be there overnight, so I called up to the front to ask if it was okay to park in one of the seven or so unoccupied handicap spots that was actually nearby. They said it was […] at risk of being towed. The furniture was kinda Golden Girls, and the floor was not carpeted, which just gave the room and the sound in the room a strange feel. The bathrooms were motel-ly...clean motel, but motel nonetheless. My friend and I ordered in some cheesecake, key lime pie and wine to reward ourselves after a long day...and going through all it took to finally park and get into the room. We were pretty disappointed with that as well; could have bought better at the nearby grocery store. The only real comfort of it all was that the room smelled like bleach right when we walked in the room. I figured it must at least be clean. We check in, had two rooms reserved, one with one bed, the other with 2 beds, The rooms were in another building, which had no parking nearby. Noone offered to help with luggage, nor were the directions to the building where the rooms were accurate. We get to the rooms, on the second floor, no elevator (not told), one room had a queen bed, good, the […] other had one double bed, not good. Had to walk back to the main building, had to wait again for them to find us a room with two beds. They finally did so, facing a construction site. OK we were too tired to care. At about 12:15 AM someone with a key tryed to enter our room, when they could not because of the security lock, they continued to bang on the door for a good long time. Then a little while later, another group of people started banging on the door. We mentioned this at check out and was told that the person that checked us in, did not indicate the fact that they changed our room and therefore gave the key to another guest. "Worst experience ever!"
Where do I begin. The rooms look nothing like the picture. The beds were not comfortable. There was a group of loud kids running all over and the hotel did nothing to control them. "Visit to Wyndham"
The hotel was undergoing construction, but it was very nice. The room looked and may have been brand new. The pool area was nice, although there were no towels. Wyndham is in the middle of a major renovation, so expect some inconveniences until this is complete. We were without water one morning, but overall it was a better than average Orlando experience. "Don't even think about staying here"
My 3 night stay at the Wyndham was a disappointing experience. The hotel is under rehab and large areas of the property are cluttered with trucks, storage units and supplies (like 40 or so toilets sitting in the parking lot). The phone and internet service went down and stayed down on my first night, and on the 3rd night the hotel had no water from […] midnight until after I checked out at 8am. NO WATER! since my first detailed review was rejected by hotels.com, I try to be short. Stay away from this property, it is not worth the agony. The property is a run down, and poorly managed time share. Your room has a good chance of having the awkward handicapped accessible shower or bunk beds, plus, you get the great privilege of plugging your laptop into a computer and paying $10 for internet, which is more money than it will cost you to get internet on the plane on the way to Orlando. "Another bad Wyndham experience"
My last two hotel stays, both for business, were at Wyndham hotels, Jacksonville and Orlando. I am extremely disappointed with both hotels. These are dated facilities that have not been updated in years. In Orlando there was no in-room internet access (even though they said there was) and they want $2.00 per minute to use the computers in the business […] center. My room was over 1/3 of a mile from the conference area, and though you could call for a golf cart, it often took over half and hour for them to get to your room. The restaurant food was marginal and slow. - 45 minutes for a quesadilla which I then did not have time to eat. Overall, a really bad experience. "Don't go until renovations are complete"
I recently stayed at the Wyndham for new years eve and a few days after. The hotel has several buildings that have not been renovated. The first night there we were unfortunately one of those chosen to stay in a unrenovated room. The tv's didn't work, the shower felt like we were walking on a water bed, the phones didn't work, and the room smelled like […] mold. I'm never one to complain but I was upset due to the fact I spent a lot of money to be there. The staff apologized the next day and moved us to a better room. So moral of the story make sure you are staying in one of the rooms that is worth the money. The location is perfect if you want to go to universal and the pool area is nice.
