"And they call this a resort?"
I guess its because I've been to "real" resorts in the past, where they have activities going on for kids and adults, an indoor pool/spa, nature trails.... this place is more like an overpriced motel with a restaurant that has the poorest service I've ever experienced. The room was relatively clean, but no larger or more comfortable than most motels […] I've stayed in. The hot tub was dirty, and the outdoor pool had a giant tent over it that barely covered the whole pool, which means when you walked into this big bubble, you almost walked right into the pool itself, which is not a good thing if you have toddlers like I do. We had dinner and then breakfast at the Altitude, their attached restaurant. The service was slower than a snail climbing up a staircase. Dinner took an hour to be served, and breakfast took nearly 30 minutes. The one saving grace is that they had delicious mac & cheese. Alas, that is not enough for us to return. We'll go elsewhere next time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful but beware the pet fee!"
This is a lovely place, very clean and comfortable, but beware the small print--you will be charged a nonrefundable $50 pet fee per night. It's not really a place for pets. It's not clear on hotels.com that the fee is not refundable, but it's not. You just pay up front. That's a LOT of money for a dog in a "pet-friendly" hotel room. That said, I'd […] recommend this wholeheartedly for anyone who's not traveling with a pet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Resort Stay"
I checked in and was not told I was in a handicap accessible room. Since I had already unloaded all the luggage, etc. before I went into the bathroom I decided not to try to get the room swithced. I planned to say somelthing when I checked out; however, they didn't ask how my stay was. Because I used Expedia I think I was treated differently.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Resort at the Mountain, near Mt Hood, Oregon"
A great location surrounded by tall conifer forests and only a few minutes drive from some great views of Mt Hood. Among the most comfortable beds I've slept in in any hotel. Lots of amenities (which I didn't get to try out because I was so busy), but can definitely recommend it for the comfort factor alone. Staff helpful at front desk after midnight […] arrival. Easy parking and you are definitely at an advantage having a car in this area as there is so much to see in this part of the world. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
