"Worst experience"

I thought the hotel itself was great. The service could have been better. We asked for a late check out and it was unavailable. Then we asked for addittional towels and they never came. The room was very nice and updated well. I would recommend this hotel to others. I must mention that the buffet area for breakfast is a little narrow and gets congested. On Sunday, even at 9:00 a.m., the food had pretty much run out, and no silverware was available. "Very moldy..."

"Great Hotel for Couples"
We were in town for a reunion in New Orleans and were also visiting family in Madisonville. The hotel location was perfect for both. The staff were helpful and friendly. "Great hotel"
The Courtyard Marriott in Covington, LA is a great hotel. It's location is convienient right off the Causway and the interstate. It is on the main strip in Covington and there are a lot of shops and restaurants near by. There is also a Starbucks within walking distance! Yhis hotel was not what you expect for a rating of 4 stars. We've stayed in a way better Courtyard and when you've stayed in better it's hard to give a decent rating. I'm extreme when it comes to cleanliness so if I can avoid ANY hotels I will. This hotel is definitely older. It was for the most part clean except the shower curtain had a lot of mold spots on it. Beds were ok as for as comfort. Needs new pillows. […] The location was excellent. I have young children and I was looking forward to us swimming in the pool. The indoor pool was dirty, cold, and VERY small plus the Jacuzzi was out of order. Everything was great. My only complaint was the coffee pot. A one cup coffee maker w/ only 1 pod of coffee doesn't work when you have more than one person in the room. We had to go search the hotel for coffee. Other than that, I would definetly stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not very good for the price..."
Positives: Decent hotel, good location, good breakfast buffet. Negatives: housekeeping did not clean our room over a five day period until we tracked them down and personally asked them to do so. We never put a 'do not disturb sign' on our door so there was no reason to skip cleaning. On the last day, we needed fresh towels and toilet paper. We called […] the front desk and the young lady informed us that as it was four o'clock, housekeeping had gone for the day. We went and bought our own toilet paper and laundered our towels. And to top it off, no apology was ever made! Last but not least: there was no mini fridge, the pillows were without pillow cases, there was no bottled water, no suitcase stand, the walls had some quick paint brush marks to cover up some stains, and the bathtub was old and stained. I was here for a client meeting and the client is very near this hotel. The hotel is very nice, very comfortable with a staff that is eager to please, but unless there's a reason to be in this neighborhood why would you be? This hotel was ok..but it is very inconvenient where you check in versus where you stay as it has a new wing that is not easy to get too. Plus hard to find parking anywhere close to your room.. "Needs Work"
Housekeeping was the first thing noticed upon entering the room. Plastic covering for coffee cup was left on windowsill and tiny eyeliner was tucked in with the coffee materials. The room was comfortable, but with an entrance like that, it makes one wonder what else was missed. Much renovation going on over weekend of 10/16/2010. In addition to construction […] sounds throughout the day, also heard running feet back and forth overhead early in the morning - recommend a room on the top floor. Renovation desperately needed, as the carpets were fraying, A/C unit looked outdated, and upholstered parts were "tired." For slightly more money, a brand-new (also Marriott) property is right across the parking lot. Use your Reward Points there, not here -- at least, not until renovations are complete. Breakfast was not included, so we didn't get it. It smelled good, though. Parking was a little inconvenient since any spots near our room and side entrance were blocked by construction dumpsters or work trucks. Could be a nicer place, but give it some time.
