"Very comfortable"
Overall, our stay was fine. We were shopping at the Mall of America and didn't actually spend a lot of time at the hotel. When we checked in, the staff member was very polite and helpful. The room was adequate (the mirrors behind the beds were a little weird). "Needs maintenance"
The first room that I was given toilet overflowed. They moved me to another room. The heater/air conditioner did not work properly in the new room. At times it would blow cool air instead of heat. "Good when you just need a clean bed"
Rooms are very compact. I just need a good clean bed so this fits my needs. Would not stay here if I had my kids with me. "Utilitarian"
This is definately a no-frills hotel. Not even a coffee maker or shampoo in the room. I had to go down to the front desk to request shampoo. The room was small but comfortable. The comforter could have used a lint roller over it... found a couple stray hairs on it. Not the end of the world but a reminder that some stranger slept in that bed the night […] before... which is exactly what I try not to think about when I'm sleeping in a hotel. Overall, It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. I guess I got what I paid for. It was easy to get to and convenient for where I needed to be the next day. Would I stay here again? The hotel staff was freindly and had a quick check in and out. The breakfast was horrible and we walked to the Denny's right behind the hotel. The location was excellent, right off the highway and close to everything. The room was just ok and not the greatest. Small room, which was fine we didn't need much room for the two of us, there was no shampoo conditioner or lotion, no hand towels the first night, which wasn't that big of a deal, the faucet was loose, we had to laugh a little about that.. and the bed was alright for comfort but the pillows weren't very comfortable, i know its hard to please everyone […] on that... the breakfast was small, not many options, not very good juice. However for the amazing deal we got for the room I was pleased. And great location for being close to the expressway, 5 min to the airport, 5 min to the mall of america, and right between the cities was helpful too. Its across the street from a Walmart, if you need it. The neighborhood didn't seem that great, but it worked for the weekend. Overall pleased. "Doubtful to Stay Again"
I made reservations on the recommendation of a friend. I thought I had reserved a stay and fly package but upon checkin I had only been charged for the hotel and had to pay extra for leaving my car. The hotel was easy enough to find. The staff was nice and she apologized for the misunderstanding. The outside and lobby appeared nice. The room was disappointing […] as the carpet looked and felt like it needed to be cleaned. The bed was made but almost appeared that they were interupted at the end and quickly finished the job. We were uncertain at this point about the cleanliness of the bathroom. It surprised me that there was no shampoo included. I travel quite a bit and have not found another place, even the smaller out of the way places, that did not provide this basic item. We had to unpack our suitcase to locate our own. It was late when we arrived and we had an early flight in the morning so we just hurried to bed. Transportation to and from the airport was via taxis. Apparently, they only pick up every half hour. They were timely and friendly. Overall, not the best experience I've had. As I said, I travel quite a bit and will continue to find other stay and fly places to stay. "Rooms was nice but something is missing"
As I said, the room was clean and nicely decorated. Everything worked. But there was no coffee maker and virtually no amenities. I got two bars of soap and that was it. No shampoo, no conditioner; nothing else. On top of that, I received NO service whatso ever, ie my room was not cleaned, I received no clean towels and my bed was not made. I stayed […] two nights. These things should have happened. Never stayed anywhere they didn't. The bathroom sink hardly drained. When I checked it out, it was full of hair and other debris. I tried to remove some and it helped a little. I also told the front desk. They said they would take care of it that day, but they didn't. Breakfast was probably the worst I have had in a "breakfast included" place. Nothing hot except for toast or bagels. They were always out of coffee. It was definitely NOT worth the money I paid and I would NOT stay there again. Interestingly, I've stayed in Microtels before and they were fine. That's why I tried this one.
