Hotel Drury is located at the North end of NAU. Perfect location for parents visiting the campus. The location is also convenient for shopping and dining in Flag. I was happy with my two-night stay. I had some concerns about this being a "pet friendly" hotel, but I only saw two dogs in my two days there. On booking, I had expressed some concerns to the hotel about allergies, and they went to additional lengths to ensure the room was clean. Breakfast is included, and is OK ... hot options include scrambled eggs, […] potatoes, biscuits & gravy, sausage patties; there's also cereal, yoghurt, toast, coffee. All pretty good. Dinner is also included, although I didn't try that choosing instead to eat / drink in downtown Flagstaff which is only a 5-10 minute walk away (which is another reason to choose this hotel if that's in your plan). "Nice facility near downtown and NAU."
Overall a nice place. Fairly close to downtown Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University (NAU) and many of the Flagstaff attractions. Friendly, helpful staff and a clean, comfortable room with plenty of space. Getting into and out of the facility is a little awkward. Because of medians, you wind up having to go through NAU or downtown to get out. Both […] are busy roads. The hotel is next to the main road and near a railroad track with a lot of trains. We got used to the train noise fairly quickly, but we never got used to the road noise. Breakfast was nice and there was plenty of seating. They have a complimentary light evening meal and drinks (3 max), but the place is so close to so many outstanding restaurants in the downtown area, we only took advantage of the evening food and drinks once. It is a pet friendly hotel for those with pets. We don't, but except for one yappy little dog, we weren't bothered. We would stay there again, but try for a room on the side away from the street. We've stayed in a few hotels in Flag and the Drury is our new favorite. We walked to the downtown area with all its restaurants and shops and then walked to NAU for meetings. "Definitely the place to stay for NAU parents"
We came to Drury Inn just for a staycation But looking around I realized this is a perfect place for parents on move in or move out day. Or families on family weekend. Or like us just a short vacation out of the heat. The location perfect being adjacent to NAU and a couple of blocks from historic Flagstaff. It is also across the street from 1899 Grill […] which is a good choice for Dinner. Although at the Drury they do take care of the family with a hot breakfast buffet and evening food and drink also. This is a major added bonus when thinking about price. Speaking of price, book early because the price does co up considerably during certain times. Ours was a very quiet stay. I think that depends on which side of the hotel you stay. There is a free happy hour from 5 - 7 or so: had one free drink (not bad well drink) and the food was the usual American carbo suspects of chips,salsa, pretzels, hot dogs, soft drinks, etc. Some fresh carrots and celery, also.
