"Good value"
The location is good -- a short drive from downtown, and across the street from a natural foods market. The room was clean and comfortable. The WiFi worked well. Complaints: The fan in the bathroom was a bit loud, the towels were small and rather thin, and the parking lot was full (we had to park far from our room after returning from a night out).Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Highland Country Inn"
This hotel is in a good location, about .5 miles from downtown Flagstaff. The owners were very friendly. The room we got was a good size. My bed was comfortable for one night, but I wouldn't recommend it for multiple nights - it was a bit hard. The pillows we got were very flimsy. Even though it wasn't too hot in Flagstaff (85 degrees compared to 115 […] in Phoenix), our room felt very stuffy and the AC only helped a little. "Highland Country Inn-A Great Bargain"
If you are looking for a deal in Flagstaff, this is the place. Our room was very basic, but it was cheap and clean. We stayed for six days, making the Highland Country Inn our home base for day trips to the GrandCanyon, Sedona and the Red Rock area, and many Native American ruins. "clean but can be noisy"
I stayed at this hotel twice in July 2010. The first time, we stayed at a second floor unit facing the parking lot. It was clean, quiet. Nothing extra but all the basics. We were happy with our stay. The second time, we were on the first floor (115). The windows faced the other side of the hotel, a street. There was no wall, no buffer between the street […] and the huge windows. Furthermore, those windows faced the railroad tracks a few hundred yards away. We passed an uneasy night with a lot of street and train noise. To make matters worse, we could hear our the people in the upper unit run around, turning on the water.The sound insulation was dismal. I am not picky when it comes to noise, but this was really bad.
