The hotel was easy to get to and close to all the sites in Flagstaff. It was clean, convenient and comfy for a family of 4. "Service Good, Bed was Bad."
We had a 1-night stay and were satisified with everything (location, cleanliness, staff) except 1 important detail - The Beds!!! I specifically reserved the Standard Room WITHOUT the Adjustable-Firmness Beds (can't remember the official name) and were given a room with the Adjustable-Firmness Beds. When we checked in, we simply put all our luggage and […] kids toys into the room and didn't notice anything different. We returned later in the night and our young kids were already passed out when we noticed the beds were adjustable ... too late to request a room change and it was New Years Eve and sold out no action on my part. I didn't realize they would be so uncomfortable, seemed impossible to get a soft setting. So that put a damper on the evening but everything else about the hotel seemed decent. As you may already be aware, we do offer rooms with Traditional Mattresses upon request or when making reservations. Also, if there is a problem with the adjustability of the mattress, in most situations our maintenance personnel can resolve the issue to allow for a great night's rest.

"a little dissapointed"
I reserved a two queen bed room because I have two daughters, well when we get there they don't have any and give me a king bed, and didn't even want to give me a roll away bed, I had to argue for that, it was 4 of us, that's why I reserved a two bed room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The sleeper beds are nice if it works. We had the maintenance guy come out every single night because the beds were not working the way it was supposed to be working. Decent room, but the beds were awful. They have sleep number bed which in theory should be comfortable, but it took forever to find a decent comfort setting and the sensors on the bed had a hard time detecting my son who is 4 years old (hard to explain, but the bed responds to your body weight to give you "firmness" or "softness", since he is little, […] the sensors on the mattress could not adequately detect him and the bed was constantly too soft, making him sag into the bed like a hammock). This made for an uncomfortable night for us since I was constantly trying to make the bed more comfortable for him. "A lot of money for little comfort"

"Only 75 miles to the Grand Canyon"
The hotel staff was very efficient. Our room was always clean however we were on the second floor by the elevator. There was some sort of store room around the corner and the cleaning staff was always in and out. We could hear because the door hinges made an awful noise. Pool was very clean. Sushi restaurant was surprisingly good, despite the lack of Japanese sushi chefs, and we are very picky about sushi. Bathrooms are high quality. The only slight negative was that the hotel has "sleep number" mattresses that are powered by remotes that do not work. The kids liked it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very nice and clean. However late at night I could clearly hear the people next door. The noise actually woke us. I don't feel they were being extremely loud or obnoxious but I could hear just average conversation. If the walls were more sound proof all would have been perfect. This was one of several hotels we stayed in during our 6000 mile road trip. The room was in minor disrepair, but otherwise okay. Not the best hotel we stayed in, but adequate and acceptable overall.
