"Not a big fan of the Sleep Number Bed"
Overall, the hotel is nice, but starting to age. I don't think I'll sleep in a sleep number bed again and probably would have enjoyed the stay more in a regular room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel We do appreciate you feedback. We have been in the process of updating the hotel and will continue to focus on ensuring the hotel is updated, clean and comfortable. We do offer guestrooms with traditional beds as well as sleep number beds, allowing guests a choice to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
"Nice Place but noisy!"
Went for my year anniversary. Staff was awesome. Dinner was convenient on site. Rooms walls were thin. The people in the room above us were up all night running up and down, so we didn't get much sleep. Told the front desk in the morning, they were very apologetic and gave us a breakfast voucher. The breakfast was so delicious, on site as well. If you […] stay here request an upstairs room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel Thank you for choosing to celebrate your anniversary with us. We apologize that your neighbors were a bit noisy. We do ask that guests respect their neighbors in terms of noise level. So glad you enjoyed breakfast. We do hope to see you on another visit to Flagstaff.
"a little dissapointed"
I reserved a two queen bed room because I have two daughters, well when we get there they don't have any and give me a king bed, and didn't even want to give me a roll away bed, I had to argue for that, it was 4 of us, that's why I reserved a two bed room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel We'd like to apologize that we were not able to accommodate the request for 2 queen beds during your stay. We do our very best to grant guest requests - and agree that there is never a reason to argue with a guest. We will be using this experience as a training tool for our customer service representatives. We'd like to sincerely apologize and hope you'll give us another chance to prove that we customer service is our #1 priority.
"dissapointed"
The staff was very friendly. However, I read in previous reviews and unfortunately have to confirm that the acoustics of the hotel are terrible. We were on the second floor and could hear EVERYTHING in the room above us. When they used the bathroom it literally sounded like water was pouring into our bathroom. There is no sound barrier and the pipes […] are extremely loud. That made it hard to sleep. Besides that the rooms were comfortable although the bathroom wasn't cleaned very well. We will not be returning to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel We apolgize that you were disappointed with the acoustics of the hotel room. We have taken note of your concerns and have addressed them with our management team. It's reviews such as yours that assist us in continuing to improve our services and amenities.

"Nice hotel, not so nice beds"
We liked the hotel, but neither of us cared for the Sleep Number mattress. We both thought it was uncomfortable, and didn't sleep very well. The staff was very friendly and we liked everything else about the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel So glad you enjoyed most of your stay, especially our staff and service. Please note re: beds - we DO offer guestrooms with traditional mattresses. Please feel free to reserve a Traditional Guestroom or ask for one upon check-in.
"Nice hotel. Uncomfortable sleep number bed!!"
The service was very good, staff were polite and nice. The holtel itself was very clean and very well kept. The sleep number bed was absolutely HORRIBLE. We could not get the bed to be comfortable at all. Those beds have to go.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"OK"
Decent room, but the beds were awful. They have sleep number bed which in theory should be comfortable, but it took forever to find a decent comfort setting and the sensors on the bed had a hard time detecting my son who is 4 years old (hard to explain, but the bed responds to your body weight to give you "firmness" or "softness", since he is little, […] the sensors on the mattress could not adequately detect him and the bed was constantly too soft, making him sag into the bed like a hammock). This made for an uncomfortable night for us since I was constantly trying to make the bed more comfortable for him. One additional issue - NO complimentary breakfast...The staff was great, but due to the above shortcomings, we will likely not return to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Staff was very friendly and informative. I was dissapointed that we could hear the floor squeeking above us and the guests above us walking around in their room. The walls must be really thin.... we could hear the shower and the toilet above us also.Housekeeping did a great job keeping the room very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel So glad that you found our staff friendly and rooms clean and comfortable. Though we cannot address the wall-thickness, we'll look into the 'squeaky door', which should not be an issue. Thank you for your feedback.
"Good for Route 66 exploring"
A very nice older building with charming lobby and corridor decor. The room was small but adequate. There were 2 queen sleep number beds . This was a new mattress experience for me, so I was unprepared for the constant deflating and inflating of the mattress. By morning it looked like a mountainous landscape. The other bed, used on night #2 was OK. […] I'm grateful that it saved me ever exploring the notion of purchasing one of those highly touted mattresses. No bathmat replaced the used one for day 2. I reported this upon checkout, having been accused at other places of stealing linens that were never provided. The heat lamp in the bathroom didn't work and the drapery pull on one side was inoperable. These matters would likely have passed unreported had it not been for the mattress situation. The manager told me upon checkout that they would have repaired the bed had i reported it the first night, but that's not something I'd ordinarily do at 11PM if another bed is available. She offered special consideration on a return visit, but it is unlikely that there will be such a visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel We'd like to thank you for bringing up the issues experienced in the guestroom to our attention, allowing us to resolve them for future guest stays. We do routine in-room maintenance, but do depend on guests letting us know of mechanical issues that occur during their stay, so we can resolve quickly and efficiently. We do hope to see you again in the future when exploring Route 66 and Flagstaff, AZ.
"Hadicapped Bathrooms are bigger!"
Heard people walking above us late into the night. Got a hadicapped bathroom...but it was so much bigger and had a seating contraption by the shower that we could use to set our toiletries upon without cluttering up the space around the sink area. Shower was much bigger than average. Liked getting bottled waters. Ran out of toilet paper the day we […] left. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfortable and pet friendly"
We arrived a bit early and were able to check in but the window of the room looked out on the side of the building about a foot away. Later in the day we were able to switch rooms. The second room was clean but had water damage on the paint of the ceiling. We were traveling with our small dog and the staff were very accommodating.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel"
This was a nice hotel in a very good location. Since it is in a college town, there were a ton of college aged people around. the hotel in general was nice, but my husband and I found the sleep number beds to be very uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable. However, there was mold in the bathroom along the tub and floor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel Thank you for posting your feedback. Our housekeeping staff will certainly address this issue in the bathroom, but please be aware, typically this is not 'mold' but older grout that turns color, along the edge of the bathtub.
"AVOID the Sleep Number Beds!"
We booked this hotel because they offered Sleep Number beds, and I have been enjoying one in my home for the past several years. Unfortunately the sleep number beds in this hotel are not maintained well and the controls on the bed I slept in did not function properly. The read out of the Sleep Number did not work, and the bed completely deflated in […] the night. If you book this hotel; try NOT to book a sleep number bed! Response by Woodlands Hotel Thank you for posting your feedback. We are very pleased that you found our team friendly and room sevice affordable and tasty. In terms of the Sleep Number Beds, you are correct that they take a lot of maintenance. Keep in mind, unlike the bed you have at home, these beds are slept in and adjusted on a nightly basis. This can take a mechanical toll on the bed. We do our very best to address issues in a proactive manner - but many times must depend on guests such as yourself to let us know if an issue arises so that we can fix the problem and ensure your night's rest is not impacted. We depend greatly on feedback and comments from our guests (which is why we read all of the reviews posetd). Note that we do also offer rooms with Traditional mattresses as well, in an effort to accommodate all guests preferences. Thank you again for choosing the Radisson Woodlands Hotel

"Not up to standards I expect from Radisson"
This was one of several hotels we stayed in during our 6000 mile road trip. The room was in minor disrepair, but otherwise okay. Not the best hotel we stayed in, but adequate and acceptable overall. Certainly not what I've seen in Radisson in the past. I wish I'd spent a few dollars more for another hotel. I guess you do get what you pay for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Can't find my Sleep Number"
The sleep number beds in the Radisson hotels are extremely uncomfortable, and we have not been able to find my number? We can't complaine about the service at the hotel restaurant, but the dinners my wife and I got were terrible. "Room size"
The outside of the hotel and the lobby area were great. However I was disappointed by the small size of the room, also the air conditioning was rather noisy and prevented a sound sleep during the night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Though we can't increase the size of the guestrooms, we hope that guests who have any issues with their room will give us the opportunity to make it right prior to their departure. We do appreicate your candid feedback.
"Mother, Daughter, and Grandmother's stay"
The temperature between the two rooms was dramatic. The sleep number bed was confusing - there should have been instructions. They were accommodating resolving issues with our reservation, however, did not follow up with resolving room issues and requests such as: the bed and refilling shampoo etc... Response by Woodlands Hotel Thank you for posting your comments. "hard to find zzzzzzzzzs"
Chose room with Sleep Number beds for comfort but was very disappointed. One bed did not work at all and other one could not maintain desired settings. Did not sleep well at all. Ended up sleeping on cushion chair.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel Let us apologize that you did not enjoy your night on a Sleep Number Bed. We understand how frustrating that would be and hope that guests let us know if there is any issue with their bed so that we can get it resolved during their stay, to ensure the best night's rest possible. That being said, please note that we do offer traditional bed guestrooms as well. Feel free to request a traditional bed upon making the reservation or upon arrival at the front desk.
"sleep number bed SUCKS!"
the sleep number bed sucks! And it definitely is not all its cracked up to be. Very uncomfortable. Would much rather a pillow top any day. So if you plan on staying here because they have the sleep number bed and you've never tried it, DON'T STAY, i slept awful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel After several years with the exclusive Sleep Number Beds, we’ve learned that guests either love, love them. Or Not. For that reason we offer both Traditional Bed guestrooms as well as Sleep Number Bed guestrooms. "Nice hotel, not so nice door locks"
The hotel was very nice, but we ran into several problems with our door lock. It took 2 attempts by different maintenance techs to get it fixed. Also the heat lamp in the bathroom was out. Response by Woodlands Hotel On behalf of management and staff, we apologize for the inconvenience of the mechanical problems with the television and not having requested King Bed available at the time of check-in. We make every effort to accommodate all guest requests whenever it is possible to do so. Though we hope all guests stays are perfect, when issues arise, we do our very best to resolve them quickly and efficiently. We do appreciate the feedback.
"Disappointed"
My family and I have stayed here many times. This year we were very disappointed that we could no longer order movies on the TV. That is one of the things we look forward to doing on vacations. Also the breakfast delivered to our room was cold. That was a first.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel Let us apologize that we did not meet your expectations. We did upgrade our television services to include new HD flatscreen TVs and premium HD channels including several movie channels (which replaced the pay-per-view movie option previously). We hope that guests will appreciate the upgraded viewing experience and free movie options. Room service is one of our services and definitely should not be served cold, so our food and beverage team will continue to work on providing excellent service as well as food quality in-restaurant and via room service. Thank you for your comments and feedback.

"Silent charge"
The hotel and its amenities were very good. My problem with the hotel is that they charged my credit card $27 without notifying me of the charge. Even though the charge will be removed from my balance, I only discovered the charge when I checked my account balance once I returned home. I called the hotel to find out they charge everyone $27 up front […] for incidental charges (in case you had them) and wold clear the charges once you check out and no incidentals are charged. My issue is with non-notification at time of check-in nor any mention of the charge on the check-out bill. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel We apologize for the confusion regarding the credit card hold. As a standard, we let Expedia guests know upon check-in that a credit card will be taken for any incidental at time of check in. We understand that Expedia.com also makes this clear when guests recieve there email confirmation from Expedia. We ask that all of our desk agents ask for Credit Cards for Incidental charges at check in and let all guests know that there will be a pending hold on their card when they check in, but the card is never charged (unless charges are incurred). Again, though this is our standard policy, we will work harder at ensuring we are clear about how incidental charges are handled upon check-in. Thank you for leaving your comments.
"mid week stay"
This is a nice enough hotel but there are maintenance issues everywhere. I think every door in the hotel squeaks and needs to be oiled which is annoying while others are trying to sleep. Our bathtub drain did not drain. When I called the front desk about this they seemed unconcerned. Our room desk chair was broken. There is not a fridge in the room […] but the sleep number beds are nice. The property is very nice backing up to a wooded area. I, however, think we will stay at the Drury next time with the free breakfast, heavy appetizers and happy hour! Our friends stayed there instead of Radisson and they loved everything about the Drury. "Radisson Woodlands Flagstaff AZ"
1. The hotel has the name of its restaurant prominently displayed but NOT the name of the hotel. Confusing when you've never been there. 2. The room had a jacuzzi tub which was "out of commission". 3. The TV channel guide in the guest info booklet was way out of date. A previous guest had noted this two months ago. 4. No writing materials (pad, pen) […] in the room. 5. Most hotels of this class have a complimentary breakfast. Not this one. 6. Many hotels provide a feedback card or at least ask "how was everything" when you check out. Not here. All in all, I would recommend looking elsewhere for lodgings in Flagstaff. "Front Desk"
We enjoyed everything about our stay until we checked out. We asked for and received directions to the Grand Canyon. The girl at the front desk was so unfriendly! Front desk employees are a hotel's "hello" and "goodbye" and should be as bright and friendly as possible. This young lady did her job, but grudgingly. Well I guess it was ok, It was a 19 degree outside so we have to have all the time non central heat and is very noisy becuase it comes on several times overnight, so it keep me up at leat 3 times at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Woodlands Hotel Yes, it does get quite cold in the evenings in Flagstaff in the wintertime! We do have great heating units in each guestroom that allow guests to control their heat/AC to meet their needs. We just request that if a guest has an issue with their unit being broken or noisy, that they let us know as soon as possible so that we are able to fix it and allow that guest to get back to enjoying Flagstaff in the warmth and comfort of their guestsroom.
"Not a Horrible Upscale Hotel in Flagstaff"
I stayed at the Radisson Woodlands Hotel the night before a business meeting, with the expectation that I would get a good night's sleep thanks to the "Sleep Number" bed. Unfortunately, the Sleep Number bed was very uncomfortable (no matter the setting), and I did not sleep very well. The Radisson itself is a semi-luxurious four-story hotel in a relatively […] quiet area of town, not too far from downtown and NAU. Parking was not a problem (as is often the case at upscale hotels). Unfortunately, after I got to my room, I was greeted by a large clump of hair floating in the toilet. I took a photo of the hair and promptly headed downstairs to show the photo to management. The manager issued me three vouchers (two cocktails at the bar (worth $12) and free breakfast (worth $20)) for the trouble. The bar has a cozy lounge feel, and the bartender was pleasant. Thankfully, she knew how to make a pretty decent martini. The next morning, I tried the restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant was inviting, and my omelet was prepared satisfactorily. My server was especially nice and cheerful – without seeming fake. In all, this hotel met my expectations, but did not exceed them. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Okay, But Probably Wouldn't Come Back"
The common areas were very nice, but rooms & furnishings older than expected. E.g. an old box-style tv (no high-def). Shower seemed dingy & took 4ever to heat up. However, the bed was GREAT!!! We had a sleep number. Walls were also thin. First night we were there we arrived a little late (about 10) and had the tv on. Apparently our neighbor didn't […] like this because he banged on the wall so hard the mirror almost came off the wall. Then, for the next two nights, we had to listen to the same neighbor's kid scream throughout the night. My only major complaint was the room service. First, the food was poor. Then apparently several hours later, the room service attendant tried to run our credit card but entered the numbers wrong. Thinking our card was no good, she then called our room after we had gone to bed (about 10). By we woke up and got to the phone, she had hung up. Then, 10 minutes later, just as we had dozed off again, she came and knocked on our door. Once again, by the time I got out of bed and made it to the door, she was gone. Thinking something was wrong, I called down to the front desk only they knew nothing. After dozing off a 3rd time, I get yet another call from the same room service person. By this time I was wide awake and it took me another 2 hours to get back to sleep! They did comp our food and give us a free breakfast, but I would have rather not been awoken 3 times by hotel staff all after 10 at night due them entering a credit card wrong.
