"good economy option"
Very clean but basic. The size of the room made it a little tight to move around and we were at an end room next to the Chic-fil-a where there were pressure walking early Sunday morning. The hotel is in a great location. However, the room was a non-smoking room that smelled musty and left my belongings with an unclean odor. The curtain rod in the shower was falling out of the wall, leaving the bathroom floor soaked. The sink only provided hot water, tv was faulty, and to top it off the room next to us had seven guests. "Near Northern Arizona University"
Heater in the room worked very well, although it was somewhat noisy; not a big problem (a popping noise occurred several minutes before the unit came on - everytime). Near most of the places I went. Very dated interior, but clean, except for the bathroom above the shower stall appeared as though it hadn't been wiped down in months. The shower curtain […] rod wasn't secured to the wall; it was a curved rod & tilted down so that the shower curtain didn't stay closed. I notified the front desk on checkout of the curtain rod & wall above shower stall. She politely told me she would notify maintenance & housekeeping. I was on the second floor & at the landing of the (exterior) stairs was a constant pool of ice/water. "Sub-Standard"

"I doubt this hotel deserves two stars"
The hotel is very cheap. All appliances in the room are either old or are finishing their life because of improper maintenance. Carpet in the room was so dirty and smell in the room was funny. we stayed in that hotel for two nights but soap and heir & body wash was provided only once (luckily we had our own body wash and shampoo). I am the type of traveller who opts for cheap and hopes to be pleasantly surprised but usually I get exactly what I paid for and that was here. At first, I was expecting trouble when I saw the clientelle, of which I guess I am one. Rough looking crowd, 12 in a roomer types playing mariachi music with an impromptu tailgate party outside of their room […] - imagine something like that and you're home. I can't say I was excited to return to the place at night yet I had no issues staying there and slept just fine - everything worked - a/c, shower, TVs, internet. Free breakfast was nothing to get excited about and it failed in one very important way for me - nothing but non-fat milk to cream your coffee with, so on day 2 we just skipped it and went to McDonalds for a decent cuppa Joe. only 2 major issues...the desk clerk tried to get us to stay in a room which required leaning through an open window in order to open the door from the inside.
